Back in April, Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War (reviewed here) roared into theaters, quickly becoming the #4 film of all-time. I was there for the launch, a guest of Marvel on the red purple carpet, as the Marvel Cinematic Universe was changed forever. Now, as audiences await the release of Avengers 4 next spring, Infinity War is coming home Digitally on July 31 and Blu-ray on Aug. 14 with over two hours of bonus features! Check out all the specs below, and read-on because my personal adventure with the Avengers isn't over yet...

The 1970s were a ridiculous time, and in the world of comics, things were known to go off the rails into new realms of crazy. Along with Spider-Man's Dune Buggy, the Mad Titan himself - Thanos - had a helicopter. Of course, it wasn't just enough that a 1979 comic gave the Infinity Stone-obsessed purple baddie a helicopter - no, it had to be bright yellow and actually say "THANOS" in bold black letters on the side. Where would Thanos go to have such a ride constructed? Was the place that 1966 Batman got his Batcopter taking orders? While it's a notoriously strange vehicle, my fingers are crossed that we see Josh Brolin piloting one of these when the sequel to Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters next year. In the meantime, Mattel is issuing a diecast version at Comic-Con International in San Diego this year, complete with comic-inspired packaging and the Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary logo!

With summer officially here, that means a lot of wet fun for a good percentage of the population. Personally, my family thinks I'm a party pooper since I don't particularly care for swimming, and like Anakin Skywalker I'm not a big fan of sand either so that makes me a ton of fun at the beach. But my kids love the water - in fact, they've been in swimming lessons since shortly after birth and they make me pretty proud. Where I draw the line is with putting a pool here at Rock Father HQ (I love our big, solid yard). Fortunately, Grandma has one, and that's been the perfect spot to enjoy some of the new inflatables from the folks at Swimways (a subsidiary of Spin Master). After seeing a few at Toy Fair, we received a few for review, and the ones that they sent are pretty appropriately themed for my areas of expertise - they're Star Wars and Marvel.

Back in 2015, Entertainment Earth (an affiliate of The Rock Father™) partnered with Funko for an exclusive glow-in-the-dark Pop! Vinyl Bobblehead of Thanos, based on his appearance in Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy. A double-sized 6" figure, this version of the "Mad Titan" sold out quickly, but no one could've predicted just how popular Thanos would be three years later. Thanks to his finger-snapping villainy in Avengers: Infinity War, Funko and Entertainment Earth are doing a second run of the popular figure - the only 6" Funko Thanos that can currently be purchased new (an Avengers version sold as a Hot Topic exclusive is now only found on the secondary market). Pre-orders are open now with delivery expected in September.

With Avengers: Infinity War now thrilling audiences on the big screen, it's time for another adventure to come home...

Marvel Studios' BLACK PANTHER is a global phenomenon.  Now the #3 movie of all-time, the story of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), a young African prince who takes on the mantle of King and Super Hero, has thrilled and inspired generations of moviegoers. Black Panther is available now on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™, DVD and On-Demand, and thanks to my friends at Disney Movies, The Rock Father™ is giving you a chance to win it! One (1) reader will receive Black Panther on Blu-ray + Digital. Ready for a shot?
