Presented in collaboration between The Rock Father, Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® and Life of Dad
Let’s talk about butts. I don’t talk about butts too much here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine, but being “The Rock Father” and all, I do know a thing or two about butts. Soft butts, firm butts, there’s all kinds of butts, but as a dad with two young daughters, I can remember a time when it was all about those baby butts. In a perfect world, they’re soft and smooth, but we all know that irritation is a big time problem, and I remember those sad cries when diaper rash would rear (no pun intended) its ugly redness, making those little butts painful to touch. I tried many products to help those butts, and it wasn’t until I came across Maximum Strength Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® that I was truly #KickingRash! In fact, even though the girls are well beyond diapers, I still keep some Butt Paste on hand since you never know when it might come in handy. So… with all that rash-kickin’ power, what else could it help clear up?
A baby food company wants you to get it on. Indeed, more of that can equal more mouths to feed in the long run, so it makes good business sense to encourage said activity. This is something I know well, as I've often joked to my wife that my entire current career path is completely based on the fact that we got it on at some point back in 2008, the end result being the birth of our first daughter in 2009, and thus, my being dubbed "The Rock Father." This site... these words... they wouldn't exist had it not been for my prowess, probably on a couch or something. Turns out, that's not completely the point of Plum Organics' Do Your Part(ner) campaign. Check this out...
For most families, when it comes to raising kids, you don't get many chances to do things right the first time. Those "firsts" are typically a per-child affair, and in our case, we've experienced certain milestones twice because we have two girls, and hopefully we've done better with our youngest than our oldest. There's a learning curve, and it's always fascinating to see how quickly the tools to help parents evolve. Bonding and separation anxiety are things that I certainly didn't consider in our pre-parent days, and while I think that bonding was a non-issue, anxiety is a thing. For new parents, now there's the CuddleBright™ Experience - the first and only routine-based experience aimed to connect, comfort and calm both parent and child during times of separation. This four-component system is geared toward children ages 0-5 and their parents, and to celebrate it's launch, the development experts at the Simms/Mann Institute have teamed-up with The Rock Father™ to give YOU a chance to win the complete set. Check out the details and enter below!
Nearly eight years into our parenting adventure here at Rock Father HQ and I still get excited when I see all the new baby products that are released each year - many times thinking "where was that a few years ago?" One new offering is the award-winning Yoee Baby Collection of interactive bonding toys - each combining the best aspects of a teether, rattle and plush into one, and it all started with a simple idea based upon a feather. Yoee Baby is geared toward being "Baby's First Toy," and it's one that helps forge a bond between parents and baby right from the start. Available in four styles - Monkey, Lion, Puppy, Kitty - The Rock Father™ and Yoee Baby have teamed-up to give you a shot at winning one for a special baby in your life. Three (3) lucky readers will receive the Yoee Baby toy of their choosing!
The guys over at Roma Music Group have been busy again, and this past week they issued two new EPs in their long-running TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE ROCK STAR collection of lullabies. Available now, Lullaby Versions of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and Lullaby Versions of RISE AGAINST each transform a half-dozen hits from their artist of inspiration into "lush instrumental" versions perfect for your littlest rockers' nursery. Check out the tracklistings, artwork and preview streams below, and if you dig 'em - download on iTunes, Amazon and most digital retailers.
Why did I not think of this a few years ago? I mean, I was actually on the set of BATMAN BEGINS back in 2004 and stuck my head inside the Tumbler for a few... but that was in my pre-parenting days, and the thought of crafting a baby stroller based upon Christopher Nolan's vision of The Batmobile didn't even cross my mind. But for one lucky Bat-fan, his little Caped Crusader is riding in-style thanks to the Hollywood FX crew behind SUPER-FAN BUILDS. On this week's show, they've taken an Evenflo car seat and surrounded it by all the Tumbler goodness that one would need for fighting thugs in Lil' Gotham. Check this out...
