This news item was offline for a few hours earlier this evening while I figured out what to do with it. iTunes pre-orders were up, and are now down.

On December 3, Frontiers Records will release LIFE, LOVE & HOPE, the sixth studio album by iconic rockers, BOSTON - an record more than a decade in-the-making. Assembled by BOSTON founder Tom Scholz, the new album features vocals from the late Brad Delp, Tommy DeCarlo, Kimberley Dahme, David Victor, and songwriter Scholz himself.

I'm a big fan of FEARLESS RECORDS' "PUNK GOES" series, something I've noted over the years, and having written a retrospective about the series' first decade back in 2010. I'd later tackle PUNK GOES CLASSIC ROCK and another of the PUNK GOES POP releases formally, and while I didn't review them, I'd still follow along for the more recent releases. Now, after being rumored for quite some time (especially when 'TIS THE SEASON TO BE FEARLESS hit the streets), PUNK GOES CHRISTMAS is official, and will hit stores on November 5, and you can count me interested. While it was technically announced last month, I've just really been trying to get closer to November to start Holiday coverage, and while this is technically "for grownups," I filed it under "kids and family" because, hey - it's X-mas! Check out the tracklisting below...

I sorta miss the few years in the late 90's/early 00's when the whole rap/rock thing was happening in full swing. Sure, we hit overkill pretty fast, but there were some good times and good jams in there, and over the past year or so, there have been hints of a resurgence. Another hit my inbox here at Rock Father HQ this week with a track called "Hiccup" a preview of the new THERAPY EP (pre-order now on iTunes) by TECH N9NE. It's a metal-inspired collection that features contributions by Wes Borland of LIMP BIZKIT and Sammy Siegler of GLASSJAW, along with production by Ross Robinson (KORN, SLIPKNOT, SEPULTURA). Check out the track along with some words from TECH below...

Watch: THE CREEPSHOW - "The Devil's Son"

creepshowdiscToronto rockers THE CREEPSHOW have a new dose of rockabilly goodness online today with the release of their music video for "The Devil's Son." The track comes from their new album, LIFE AFTER DEATH, which hits the streets on October 22nd via Sailor’s Grave Records (U.S.), Stomp Records (Canada) and People Like You Records (Europe). You know, I once wrote a comic book that featured the Devil's son as a villain. Check out the video below...

They've teased it for awhile, and now THE PRETTY RECKLESS has finally unleashed a proper music video for their recent single, "Going to Hell" (on iTunes now). The TAYLOR MOMSEN-fronted rockers (who I dig immensely) are currently on the road getting geared up for the release of the sophomore full-length early next year on Razor & Tie. Check out the new clip from director Tim Mattia (CAGE THE ELEPHANT, MARILYN MANSON) below, along with some words from Momsen...
