Ten years. Eighteen movies. Never before in the history of filmed entertainment has there been such a complex, interconnected "cinematic universe' that carries so many stories across so many planes. Through individual franchises and multi-hero team-ups, there is no argument that Marvel Studios has created the model that many studios wish to emulate, though few, if any, will ever manage to find the type of success that Marvel has. From 2008's Iron Man to 2018's Black Panther, everything has been leading to this - the third Avengers film and a piece that serves to re-shape the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) by laying the groundwork that will close the books on the first decade of storytelling by firmly throwing open a door - or portal - to what may come next. Avengers: Infinity War is the biggest superhero film in history, the MCU's nineteenth film landing in the unique spot of being a new hub from which many spokes will soon spawn. When asked to provide a "two-word review" shortly after leaving the film's World Premiere in Los Angeles, my response was "still absorbing."
With MARVEL's CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR coming home on Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray, it's time to take a look at one of the more recent toys to spawn from the film - the MARVEL Legends 3-Pack featuring Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-man. Crafted by Hasbro and sent to us for review by my allies at Entertainment Earth, this set marks the world action figure debut of Tom Holland's Spider-man, a character that finally entered the MARVEL Cinematic Universe this year, soon to be seen in next summer's SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING. Take a look at the video below for a hands-on look at this set, right here in the Toy Testing Facility at Rock Father HQ™.
The time has come... MARVEL's CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is thrilling audiences worldwide as the MARVEL Cinematic Universe enters a new Phase and heads toward the inevitable coming of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. When it comes to the current battle, audiences are divided between #TeamCap and #TeamIronMan, and while generally I prefer Tony Stark as both a character and a hero, when it comes to the issue at hand in CIVIL WAR, I have to join Steve Rogers' crew... if I were a superhero, I'd want the Government to stay out of my business... much like real life. So with that in mind, THE ROCK FATHER Magazine is celebrating all-things Cap with this Hot Wheels Captain America 75th Anniversary Set - a special collection of eight vehicles released as a Walmart-exclusive. I've got one up for grabs, and they could be yours!
The time has come for MARVEL Studios' CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, and if the buzz is a true indicator - the on-screen debut of Tom Holland as Spider-Man alongside The Avengers is the payoff that fans have waited decades for. Today comes a related surprise courtesy of my friends at Entertainment Earth who are sharing with THE ROCK FATHER Magazine a First Reveal of Hasbro's Captain America Civil War Marvel Legends Spider-Man, Captain America, and Iron Man Set. It contains the first-ever figure of Holland's Spider-Man, and you can get it FIRST if you act fast enough!

The most astute viewers have noticed something in the marketing of MARVEL's CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (get tickets via Fandango) over the past few months... the teams were lopsided. Today that changed as the latest trailer for the next entry into the MARVEL Cinematic Universe hit the web... with a certain character "on loan" from SONY included in the mix. Ending much speculation, Tom Holland's first appearance as Spider-man (in perhaps his most comic-accurate costume ever) is revealed in this new clip, with Tony Stark summoning "Underoos" to round-out Team Iron Man. May 6th is looking real good right about now...
