31 Days of DEATH WALKS THE STREETS - Day 16: Back in August, as I sat in the back of a theatre watching TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (review here), a little bit of familiarity hit me from a weird place - some artifacts in the office of the man who would become THE SHREDDER. One mural depicting an ancient army really grabbed me as being akin to the work of Gregory Hill (told ya he multi-tasked), and for good reason: turns out, Greg worked on TMNT. And the art of the Far East? Yes, that played heavily into the development of DWTS, right down to a depiction of our Abaddon (more on him here) emerging in books from the distant past...

DEATH WALKS THE STREETS (DWTS) is a genre-bending transmedia entertainment property created by James Zahn in 2004... long before becoming "The Rock Father." In celebration of it's 10th Anniversary and the Halloween Season, 31 DAYS OF DEATH WALKS THE STREETS is a spin-off of the annual "31 Days of Halloween" feature, presenting an inside look at some materials from the comic book series and the intended DWTS film series.

James Zahn

James Zahn is best-known as The Rock Father™, a media personality, commentator, adventurer and raconteur. He is the Owner, Publisher, and Editor-in-Chief of THE ROCK FATHER™ Magazine. In January, 2019, after nearly a decade of publishing The Rock Father™ Magazine, he joined Adventure Media and Events as Senior Editor of The Toy Book—the leading trade publication for the toy industry since 1984, as well as The Pop Insider — a destination for all things pop culture, and The Toy Insider — the leading consumer guide for toys and games.
