A familiar green villain is currently back in theaters, reimagined in Universal and Illumination's animated picture, THE GRINCH. But that's not the only place to see the tale come to life as Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical brings magic to the stage in select cities for 2018. Madison Square Garden's touring production is the big one, featuring Tony-nominated Gavin Lee (SpongeBob Squarepants: The Musical, Mary Poppins) in the lead role as The Grinch. Kicking off at The Chicago Theatre (November 16-25) before heading off to Boston and New York, my family and I were guests at the opening night performance in Chicago as holiday cheer took hold to a sold-out crowd.

grinchlogoNext month, THE GRINCH is coming to Chicago, as Madison Square Garden Entertainment presents their new production of DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL at The Chicago Theatre for just 17 performances - Thursday, November 20 through Saturday, November 29. Actually, The Grinch has already been here - stopping into town this morning to unveil The Chicago Theatre marquee, just before scurrying back up to his mountain home above Who-ville.

CONAN O'BRIEN digs Chicago, and from the response he's received in past visits, it's obvious that Chicago residents dig O'Brien. The host of CONAN will return to Chicago this June to set up shop once again at the Chicago Theatre for a new batch of show tapings. His June 11-14th stay in the Windy City coincides with the TBS Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, which will be in town from June 12-17, 2012.
