PRODUCT OF HATE unleashes FREE EP via Noisetrade, announces RIDE FOR DIME appearance and recent Studio Sessions...
Some news from PRODUCT OF HATE, a band managed by The Rock Father himself, James Zahn...
Wisconsin-based metal crew PRODUCT OF HATE have released a Special Edition summer EP via Noisetrade, available immediately as a FREE DOWNLOAD. “Revolution of Destruction” b/w “A Well Deserved Death” pairs together the band’s recent digital singles for the very first time, while bringing their crushing sound to new listeners gratis. Both songs were recorded and engineered by Chris Wisco (LAZARUS A.D., JUNGLE ROT) at Belle City Sound in Racine, WI. Wisco previously helmed the band’s 2010 release, THE UNHOLY MANIPULATOR, which was mixed by James Murphy (DEATH, TESTAMENT, OBITUARY).

KILL DEVIL HILL - "Self-titled" (Album Review)
Well here's a surprise: the self-titled debut album from KILL DEVIL HILL is a pretty good record. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting much. Their name is over-used - having been slapped on at least one film, and recently there was that ILL BILL and DJ MUGGS collaboration called KILL DEVIL HILLS, not to mention an Australian group by that name (taken from a place in North Carolina), and a IRON MAIDEN Bruce Dickenson song that's actually called 'Kill Devil Hill.' Toss in numerous bands that have mentioned or eluded to the NC region, and yeah - I would've called my band something else, but that's not what Vinny Appice, Rex Brown, Dewey Bragg, and Mark Zavon did. They're KILL DEVIL HILL.
The Random Rock N' More: Updates on 25 Bands & Artists for Tuesday, April 10
It's only Tuesday, yet still a fair amount of music news has been hitting my inbox here at Rock Father HQ. While I can't say anything has been completely mind-blowing, there's enough here for an early-edition of The Random Rock N' More, the column where I fire off quick one-line updates on a bunch of artists. If you want to dig deeper, a link is provided. As always, this hits on all areas of 'rock' from indie and folk to black metal and grindcore - "Music for Grown-ups" that wouldn't be featured on the homepage of The Rock Father™ site. Everything is fair game. Here's your Random Rock for Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
PHILIP ANSELMO would like to be your ringtone. Why? I'm not sure.
Well, this is odd for a Thursday night. A press release just arrived here at Rock Father HQ announcing that PHILIP ANSELMO, the voice of PANTERA, DOWN, and SUPERJOINT RITUAL, has released a series of ringtones. There are instructions about how to get said tones, along with the warning that ''charges apply,'' yet there doesn't seem to be anywhere to hear audio previews, nor learn the price prior to purchase. This came from Anselmo's publicist, so it's legit - but lacking details. Here's the full press release below.
