Rock Father Musicbot 6000 here with an update on THE WHO. Yes, THE WHO!

THE WHO
, one of rock’s legendary and defining bands, have announced a major North American arena tour where they’ll perform their iconic 1973 double album QUADROPHENIA in its entirety, along with a selection of WHO classics. The critically acclaimed QUADROPHENIA marked the British band’s second rock opera (after Tommy), raised the bar for rock albums as an art form and hit #2 on the U.S. Billboard album chart. Founding members ROGER DALTREY and PETE TOWNSHEND will be joined by Zak Starkey (drums), Pino Palladino (bass), Simon Townshend (guitar/backing vocals), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Loren Gold (keyboards/backing vocals) and Frank Simes (musical director, keyboards/backing vocals).

ROB ZOMBIE and MARILYN MANSON have announced a team-up of demonic proportions for the TWINS OF EVIL TOUR, which will make it's way through the U.S. and Europe this fall. J DEVIL, the alter-ego of KORN frontman JONATHAN DAVIS will open each show with a DJ Set.

It's only Tuesday, yet still a fair amount of music news has been hitting my inbox here at Rock Father HQ. While I can't say anything has been completely mind-blowing, there's enough here for an early-edition of The Random Rock N' More, the column where I fire off quick one-line updates on a bunch of artists. If you want to dig deeper, a link is provided. As always, this hits on all areas of 'rock' from indie and folk to black metal and grindcore - "Music for Grown-ups" that wouldn't be featured on the homepage of The Rock Father™ site. Everything is fair game. Here's your Random Rock for Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
