It could be considered a very bold move to release a product and deem it "unbreakable." In fact, back in 1912 there was a little ship called TITANIC - one whose makers deemed it "unsinkable," and history knows how that turned out. Here we have a toy that arrived here at Rock Father HQ for testing in our state-of-the-art facility (our house), a toy that's technically been on the market for a couple of years now, the Hercules Unbreakable 3.2ch Radio Controlled Helicopter by World Tech Toys. Having a stable of licenses including DC Comics (a line including BATMAN and SUPERMAN has been released), the NBA (team-centric choppers), and most recently locking-in the folks at WWE (check out the John Cena helicopter), I was eager to dig in and get our Hercules ready for it's first flight. So how did it fare?

TF4Wrapping-up my coverage of the new toys from TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION (until new Transformers arrive), comes a look at a pair of new sets from Hasbro's Construct-Bots line. Similar in ideals to what LEGO does with their Bionicle line, we've reviewed Construct-Bots in the past, and what's really cool here is that you can build your own TRANSFORMER, but they also transform, without having to do a full rebuild like you do with more traditional building sets like KRE-O. Here's the sets we built here at Rock Father HQ...

We have a few different products from Uncle Milton here at Rock Father HQ (like this cool one), and one of the more recent arrivals is currently hanging in Little Finley's bedroom. The Wild Walls Lightning Speed Grand Prix is a "light and sound experience" that features Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, Francesco Bernoulli and other characters from the Disney•Pixar film, CARS 2. As car-fixated as my youngest daughter is, you'd figure she'd like this one, and she does... but my wife's not a fan.

#TRANSFORMERS#TRANSFORMERSweek here on THE ROCK FATHER has been going on for about 10 days already, but when you've got Autobots and Decepticons lurking around every corner, who's counting? It's all in good fun when it comes to quality robot action - and audiences must agree, as TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION took home over $100M at the box office this weekend, including $15 from yours truly. You might recall that last week I offered-up a look at some of Hasbro's newest action figures - but ones geared toward younger TRANSFORMERS fans. Today I have a look at some of the more detailed figures, both of which are Dinobots. Check out Scorn and Grimlock below...

thrilling30Since toy departments and toy stores started becoming a regular haunt for me again over the past five years, I've paid no attention to Innovation First's HEXBUG collection. I have no good reason as to why, but even in terms of all the toy reviews that I've done here on THE ROCK FATHER, the little robotic creatures just never scored coverage until now. When Hasbro had an assortment of toys based on TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION delivered here to Rock Father HQ earlier this month, they included some additional licensed products - one of which was the HEXBUG Warriors TRANSFORMERS Battle Stadium. I wasn't prepared for how it went over with my girls, and I can guarantee that you won't find another review like this one...

#TRANSFORMERSweekYou might not have heard about it, but there's this little movie hitting theaters later this week - a new adventure about these robots that turn into vehicles and dinosaurs... and they even have toys from it! Of course, I say that in jest, as TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is everywhere this week, and it's even #TRANSFORMERSweek here on THE ROCK FATHER, which means there's Autobots and Decepticons lurking all over this site. On the toy front, the girls and I have been sampling an assortment of the new Hasbro offerings these past few weeks, and one of the first to be featured here is the ROBOTS IN DISGUISE ONE-STEP CHANGERS Assortment. These are a completely new concept, and one I wasn't really sold-on on paper. In person, that's a different story.
