I've told the story before, but I still have my original Cabbage Patch Kid. His name is Ollie, and he's still wearing his 1983 Chicago White Sox uniform - a well-played-with reminder of simpler times, and one that my daughters now enjoy playing with today. 2018 marks the 35th Birthday of the Cabbage Patch Kids, and this weekend there's a party taking place at Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia.  Wicked Cool Toys and Original Appalachian Artworks will be throwing the party, and as always, admission to Babyland General is free! Kids and families can enjoy free cupcakes and ice cream (while supplies last) and there will be prizes awarded to lucky visitors all day long. The Grand Prize is truly special - a one-of-a-kind soft sculpture Little Person (the dolls that inspired Cabbage Patch Kids) signed by the creator, Xavier Roberts. Check out a video tour of Babyland General Hospital below, along with all the details on the CPK 35th Birthday celebration...

One of my favorite childhood toys is coming back to television after a successful relaunch last year. Wicked Cool Toys and their partner Alchemy II, Inc. have teamed up with The Jim Henson Company to develop an animated fantasy adventure series for kids ages 3-7 based on Teddy Ruxpin

With two little girls here at Rock Father™ HQ, my wife and I have purchased more than a few pairs of "kid-safe" headphones over the past few years, and frankly, most of them are garbage. From expensive ones that the kids find uncomfortable to the cool-looking, yet terrible-sounding licensed variety sold for cheap at retailers like Five Below, I've checked out a bunch and had never found any that I could really be excited about until now. At New York Toy Fair, I came across something unexpected while browsing the latest offerings from the crew over at Wicked Cool Toys. They've recently partnered with Halo Acoustic to help bring CozyPhones to a wider audience, and after bringing a couple of pairs back to Illinois, they're an immediate hit. CozyPhones are a 3-in-1 combo of headphones, sleep mask and a stylish headband.

Wicked Cool Toys 2018Wicked Cool Toys is hoping that you'll be ready to "catch 'em all," and by that we mean their new line of Pokémon products, set for debut at the 2018 International Toy Fairs in London, Nuremberg and New York.

As announced last May here on The Rock Father™ Magazine, WCT was awarded the Master Toy License from The Pokémon Company International for the globally popular Pokémon brand. Their fresh assortment will include a full line of action figures, plush, roleplay items, and other toys based on the hit Pokémon animated series, expected to arrive at retail locations in worldwide markets (excluding regions in Asia) in fall 2018.

Pokémon continues to be an entertainment behemoth, and in 2018 the franchise will see a toy aisle rebirth thanks to Wicked Cool Toys, who has just been appointed to be the master toy licensee. The Pokémon Company International and Wicked Cool Toys issued a joint statement earlier today, with new action figures, play sets, plush, roleplay items and other toys based on the hit Pokémon animated series in most areas of the world. But the partnership between Pokémon and Wicked Cool is even bigger...

Seasonal offerings are always fun, and from Wicked Cool Toys comes a trio of fall-themed Cabbage Patch Kids Cuties, the "Harvest Helpers."
