Preview: JB Smoove - THAT'S HOW I DOOZ IT

On April 3, Comedy Central will release JB SMOOVE: THAT'S HOW I DOOZ IT, the first-ever stand-up comedy special from comedian JB Smoove. The uncensored DVD will feature footage not seen when the special aired on Comedy Central this past January. Check out a preview from the special in the widget below. Personally, I thought that JB was great on CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.

I never used to be a big fan of LISA LAMPANELLI, but I've really grown to like her based on THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE. Likely fueled by the mainstream exposure, Warner Bros is releasing EQUAL OPPORTUNITY OFFENDER: The Best Of Lisa Lampanelli on April 17th. The comedy album will be available on both CD and Digital formats, while Newbury Comics is offering autographed pre-orders. If you'd like a NSFW preview, check it out below.

While updating The Rock Father™ Facebook page tonight (please, go give me a ''like''), I happened across a post from the folks at Step2 that was too cool not to share. Previously ''retired'' in 2009, their Pedal Farm Tractor is back - revamped with a sleeker look and a smiley-face grill. The one question I had was quickly answered by a trip to their website - yes, they also have a trailer. I'm tempted... $79.99 for the tractor, while the trailer runs an additional $49.99. I'm picturing my daughter crusing around the vegetable garden on this right now while hauling some plants and her little garden tools in the back...

Judging from the hit-count on my blog posting yesterday that featured a 22-second snippet of a new SOUNDGARDEN song slated for inclusion on THE AVENGERS Soundtrack, I'd say interest in both the film and the band are pretty high. Well, earlier today, Disney sent over the full tracklisting for AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: Music From and Inspired by The Motion Picture. Additionally, The Rock Father has learned that the aforementioned SOUNGARDEN cut Live to Rise will be featured over the end credits of the film.  Check out the full tracklisting and all the artists below.

I've been meaning to post this for about a week now, but it just kept getting pushed back until today. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist ZAKK WYLDE is indeed a Rock Father himself - just check out this home video of him singing I Thank You Child with his daughter. While that's certainly some compelling evidence, this recent trailer for his forthcoming book BRINGING METAL TO THE CHILDREN: The Complete Berzerker's Guide to World Tour Domination (out April 10 via HarperCollins) is just pure entertainment. I wish that my daughter's reading groups at the local library looked more like this. Take a look.
