When you think about backpacks for kids, generally the back-to-school season is the first thing that comes to mind - but there's many different applications and occasions where a proper sack can come in handy. In some cases, a full-size backpack can be too much, and that's where the Gym Rucksack by Beckmann of Norway can come in handy. Rugged, yet adorable designs are both functional and stylish, and they appeal to kids of many interests. The folks at Beckmann USA (an authorized reseller) recently approached me about checking out some of their products, and my eyes immediately zeroed-in on just the right bag: a Gym Rucksack in "Mint Alva," the perfect new dance/ballet bag.

Beckmann RuckSack Review

The Rock Daughters™ are currently in the midst of their second year of ballet & tap (recital in June!), and their bags do manage to take a beating. The Beckmann Rucksack is the perfect size for their small frame, just right for carrying their ballet flats, tap shoes and a change of clothes. There's an external pocket on the front of the bag, and the inside has a stitched-in divider to keep things organized as well.

While the Rucksack is available in seven different style variations from fairies and monster trucks to dragons and unicorns, I'm already thinking ahead to the next school year. Beckmann focuses on style and safety for kids K-12 (and into college), with great padding, reflective materials, and even a built-in LED light on select styles.

100% Rock Father-approved. See more at Beckmann-us.com.

Bonus Throwback: Last year's recital found the girls looking like this. What kind of costumes will 2017 bring? Stay tuned!
