October is here, and with the best month of the year comes a time of fear, days and nights filled with dark and delicious Witches' Brew. I'm talking about coffee, of course (using "Witches' Brew" for dramatic effect), and as many of you know, coffee fuels my lifestyle here at Rock Father HQ. Chasing around a four-year-old and a 15-month-old can at times be... terrifying, and I'm all about the coffee goodness to help get me through. Fall is my favorite season of all. I've always figured it was because I was born in October - a Halloween baby of sorts - but my pumpkin-obsession is powerful. Each Fall since starting The Rock Father in 2011, I have posted something about the return of Pumpkin Spice Latte to Starbucks. No, these are not sponsored posts (though I did recently do a campaign with Starbucks)... I just really, really, really, really like Pumpkin Spice Latte. And just about everything else pumpkin-related, too. In fact, I put a Glade Pumpkin air freshener in my office almost a month ago. It's just part of the season that I love so much, and now I get to share the joy of the season with my daughters. Pumpkin Spice Latte returned to Starbucks for 2013 last week, and today I acquired my first taste of Fall...
Back in May, a tiny, brown box arrived here at Rock Father HQ bearing the mark of a cute, little Tooth Fairy, and a Portland return address. What was inside was a baubleApp, a piece of hand-crafted jewelry that contains an NFC (Near Field Communications) chip, thus making it interactive with a variety of electronic devices. Remember DOLLAR SHAVE CLUB? Yes, the folks with the hilarious viral clip about their "F***in' Great" razor blades that I (like most web jockeys) posted about back in March of 2012.
