Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties (Product Review)

I haven't done a lot of food reviews here on The Rock Father, but since a few are in the pipeline, I figured it was time to test the water with something that I recently bought: BALL PARK FLAME GRILLED PATTIES. They market these things straight at guys to the point where my wife commented on a commercial for them and looked at me to say "You want those, don't you?" Yes, I did. But this is an example of marketing for a questionable burger.

If you've ever been to a convention center, maybe for a trade show, a Comic-Con, or some other event and paid around $8-$10 for a sub-par hamburger that tastes as if the "flame grilled" part was an "added flavor," now you can have that taste at home.

For just under $6 at Walmart for a six-pack (oddly, mine contained seven patties), you can have a heat-and-eat burger patty that is not even at the same level as some store brand equivalents that I've tasted. And no, this is not fancy food here: it's lazy, quick, and not that great for you.

A bun, a slice of cheese, some mustard, and a little mayo later and it's edible - but for real taste, nothing beats fresh ground beef or turkey, prepared with care, seasoned properly, and grilled to perfection. BALL PARK FLAME GRILLED PATTIES are probably in the same league as a gas station hamburger. I'm rating it a 2 out of 5 just because it's meat.
