As Lucasfilm's Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out of hyperspace to land in theaters, the marketing partnerships, collaborations and thematic tie-ins are hitting full swing. Over at AMC Theatres, their MacGuffins Bar & Lounge continues to roll out some creative cocktails inspired by some of the biggest theatrical releases of the year, and for Solo they've got a good one. Toplined by Dan Aykroyd's Crystal Head Vodka, "The Scoundrel" is a beverage that looks exactly like something that Lando Calrissian would be whipping up in his bar aboard the Millennium Falcon (yes, it has a bar!*). Between blasting bounty hunters, ducking gangsters and avoiding the law, being a scoundrel is thirsty work. Satisfy your thirst with a mix of Crystal Head Vodka, blue curacao, house-made lemonade and a splash of Chambord...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is in theaters now, and if you happen to have an AMC Theatre nearby, then there's a good chance that there's a MacGuffins Bar & Lounge inside. For those of legal drinking age (21+, of course), The Force is strong with MacGuffins as they serve up a pair of new cocktails inspired by the film - like the new collaboration with Dan Aykroyd's Crystal Head Vodka (which I've enjoyed on occasion).  Does Revenge or Hope best suit you?

With all the news and features that I've been sharing about Disney's THE JUNGLE BOOK this week, the time to finally see the film is upon us, and for those in select states, one viewing experience that should be at the top of your list is to see it in Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. I was supposed to enjoy a screening of the film in Burbank last Sunday with Stuart Bowling, Director, Content and Creative Relations at Dolby Laboratories, but thanks to an 8-hour delay on my flight out of Chicago, I missed it. Fortunately, I have experienced Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime a the AMC Hawthorn 12 in Vernon Hills, Illinois - not far from Rock Father HQ. It's a premium cinema offering, and the first that my wife and I ever found that offered reserved seating. Curious what it's all about? Read on, friends!

Having worked on movies in my "past lives," I would've never imagined that becoming a parent and starting this website would pull me back into that world, working things in a different capacity - from a different angle - and being placed into a position where others could share in the experience virtually through all of the social networks. But that's what's happened, and one of my biggest supporters with THE ROCK FATHER Magazine has been The Walt Disney Company, regularly inviting me to cover their projects (bringing me into Los Angeles on Mickey's dime, disclosure and all) and be a part of their promotional efforts. While each adventure is different, each is equally as exciting in its own way (though attending the Global Press Event for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS may not be topped for me), and what's happening next week is no exception. I will join 24 other writers in L.A. for the #JungleBookEvent, interviewing the filmmakers and talent from the upcoming live-action reimagining of THE JUNGLE BOOK (in theaters April 15), an adventure that will be culminating in attending the red carpet premiere at the El Capitan Theatre - but that's not all...

My wife loves MAD MEN. I've watched it a few times, but never have time to invest in the 60s awesomeness fully. That said, I've always been a fan of the music, and now the jazzy tunes from composer DAVID CARBONARA is coming home. On August 13, Silva Screen will release MAD MEN: ON THE ROCKS - Music From the Television Series. Available for pre-order on iTunes now, this 23-track collection also includes "A Beautiful Mine," RJD2's original theme.
