Watch: RUSSELL MADNESS - New Year's Resolution

When the original AIR BUD movies started rolling out, I'd missed them due simply to my age at the time, and not yet being a parent. In recent years, I've caught up a bit, checking out some of the original films and their more recent "Air Buddies" spin-offs (thanks to Netflix), each a reminder that kids love talking animals. Now comes RUSSELL MADNESS, a new film from Air Bud Entertainment that takes the franchise in a new direction and an entirely different world: professional wrestling. Having seen the film way early (a full review is forthcoming), I can attest to the fact that it's an adorable new tale for kids of all-ages. With New Year's Eve this week, it's time to make those New Year's Resolutions, and for many it's to get in shape. After all, if a tiny terrier can do it, so can you!

While it's not uncommon for multiple companies to hold a license for products at the same time, it's less common for multiple companies in the same industry to hold the rights to make what is essentially the same product. One of those rare occasions is on the pegs right now as the Dodge news van from the Will Ferrell classic ANCHORMAN has been produced by both Mattel (as part of their Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment line) and Greenlight Collectibles (as part of Greenlight Hollywood). While both have their merits, it's interesting to see how vastly different two design teams can take the same thing. So which one wins in this diecast battle? Take a look...

Walt Disney Studios is on a live-action roll these days, and the next film to hit theatres putting a flesh-and-blood spin on some old classics is INTO THE WOODS. Based on the musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine,  INTO THE WOODS stars Meryl Streep, James Corden, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick and Chris Pine, and follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a Baker and his Wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the Witch who has put a curse on them.
