Comedian Al Madrigal is getting ready to debut his first one-hour stand-up special on Comedy Central when Al Madrigal: Why Is The Rabbit Crying?, premiere's on Friday, April 26 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. The special finds the celebrated stand-up comedian, The Daily Show correspondent, and LA family man (he hosts the MINIVAN MEN podcast alongside Maz Jobrani and Chris Spencer - a group that admits that none of them actually own a minivan, which is appreciated.) bringing his act to The Moody Theater in Austin, telling the hilarious true tales of Coach Frankie, the Cholo soccer dad; a fun afternoon with “Liam Neeson,” the cleaning lady; and the joys of parenting.

After previewing the Lullaby Version of "Defying Gravity" from WICKED here on The Rock Father earlier this month, Roma Music Group has officially released TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE ROCK STAR: LULLABY VERSIONS OF BROADWAY VOLUME 1 and 2. These albums feature a combined 20 songs from Broadway hits like THE LION KING, LES MISERABLES, MAMMA MIA!, RENT, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and CATS - all reworked into nursery-friendly instrumentals. 100greatestAfter releasing their first 100 GREATEST FILM THEMES collection in 2007, Silva Screen Records followed it up with another 100 in 2010. Now comes 100 GREATEST FILM THEMES - TAKE 3, a fresh batch of important pieces of film music performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and London Music Works. This six-disc collection arrived on iTunes today, and I've got the full tracklisting posted below.

On April 1, Comedy Central will premiere the first original one-hour stand-up special from Kristen Schaal, when Kristen Schaal: Live at the Fillmore airs at midnight ET/PT. The NFSW-action will then arrive on DVD the following day (April 2, for those not paying attention) as an extended and uncensored version (pre-order here). The DVD will feature material not seen in the broadcast, including Comedy Central Presents: Kristen Schaal, Kristen’s performance on John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, and her favorite appearances on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as the Women’s Issues Contributor. Nashville singer-songwriter KACEY MUSGRAVES has just posted a video teaser of her upcoming album, Same Trailer Different Park (out March 19th via Mercury Records). NPR is also streaming the album, which you can pre-order now on iTunes. Check out the teaser below, right here on The Rock Father.

The floodgates are really open for merchandise based on the classic, 1966 BATMAN television series now that the rights have been released and assigned to licensors.
