Review: Barbie Cruisin' Convertible Corvette (Toys 'R' Us Exclusive)

Written by

Back when Barbie first started "moving in" here at Rock Father HQ a few years back, one of the first vehicles we bought the girls for their dolls was a "remote controlled" Barbie Corvette. For whatever reason, that car, along with nearly every RC car we've ever found made specifically for dolls has been what's known as "simple RC" - they go forward, but they only turn in reverse. Now comes what I believe is the first-ever full-function RC to be an official Barbie product. Created by Toy State under license from Mattel, the Barbie Cruisin' Convertible Corvette is available exclusively at Toys 'R' Us this holiday season, and is a featured pick in my 2016 Holiday Wish Guide!

Barbie and Friend

Sleeker and more stylish than other Barbie cars (even including others by Toy State), this exclusive model comes in chromed-out pink, seats two, and features sharp lines that properly capture the vibe of the iconic Chevrolet Corvette. But it's the fact that this is full-function that really makes it a winner, with forward, reverse, left and right all possible from an easy-to-use controller grip.

The buzz I'm hearing is that this particular model is already becoming a pretty sought-after holiday gift, so if you want to get one, be sure to visit your local Toys 'R' Us store (or the website) before time runs out! Rock Father-approved!
