First-Look: Hands-on with the 2018 "Collector's Edition First Hess Truck!"

There have been a lot of hard-to-find and limited-edition Hess Toy Trucks over the years, but none have been more limited than what's just been released today. After months of teasing it online, Hess Corporation today announced that the special limited Collector's Edition Truck, commemorating Hess Corporation’s 85th anniversary, is now on sale exclusively at www.hesstoytruck.com. This Collector's Edition First Hess Truck has been designed "as an enhanced replica of the original fuel oil delivery truck used by Leon Hess when he founded the company back in 1933." While the actual numbers are never revealed, Hess promises that this one is being offered at "the most limited quantity ever for any Hess Toy Truck." I have the honor of helping to debut this ultra-limited ride, having gone hands-on right here in my office at Rock Father HQ this past weekend - check it out!

Since their debut as an affordable holiday gift back in 1964, Hess Toy Trucks have been known for their quality, and in recent years they've gotten even better with the addition of rich LED lighting and enhanced digital sounds. For the Collector’s Edition First Hess Truck, there's three button-activated vintage sounds, a ton of LED lighting, expanded chrome-look details and a commemorative 1933 license plate. Even the box could be viewed as collectible, with the showcase box picturing the original Hess truck fleet.

The Collector’s Edition First Hess Truck retails for for $42.99 with free standard shipping and Energizer batteries included. And for those awaiting the annual Holiday Hess Toy Truck, stay tuned! Continuing the company’s annual tradition, the 2018 Holiday Hess Toy Truck will be announced and available for purchase starting November 1, 2018 at 10 am EDT exclusively at www.hesstoytruck.com. This year’s holiday truck will retail for $33.99 with free standard shipping and eight Energizer batteries included.
