The 1999-2004 Ford Mustang is a popular choice for modders, with many car enthusiasts jumping in on the go-to budget platform for those with the itch to go fast in a straight line or on the slalom.

Often referred to as the "New Edge" Mustangs, these cars are part of the SN95 platform, which spanned production from 1994-2004. Now, American Muscle has assembled what its calling "The Definitive High-Horsepower New Edge Mustang Tech Guide" — a complete listing for anyone looking to build "a beastly and reliable New Edge Mustang."

It's a new year, and as I write this right now, we're having extreme sub-zero temperatures here in northern Illinois. Pair that with the residue from the snow and salt, and our rides aren't looking too hot, and there's no good way to clean them until it warms up. Dreaming of warmer weather, I'm always thinking about shining up the cars, and there's always that goal of making them as "new car" fresh as possible. With that in mind, the folks at Meguiar's (check out their full product line on Amazon) have sent over a list of six helpful tips that can aid in keeping your new car looking and feeling like new longer, but are also great for freshening up an older ride as well. I've got the full rundown below, along with a quick look at the team that makes Meguiar's...

Off-screen, street racing is a very real thing, and there's a grassroots movement of racers that are on a quest to see just how far they can push their cars - but still have them be entirely street legal. So how does street racing relate to every day driving and running around with your kids? It's all about performance and what's under the hood. Check out the video below...

As a kid growing up as part of the first MTV generation, one of my first elements of exposure to the world of hot rods came courtesy of ZZ TOP's ELIMINATOR and it's sorta-sequel, AFTERBURNER (Hot Rod Space Shuttle!). Both albums and their accompanying videos featured an iconic red 1933 Ford Coupe that would become instantly identifiable with the band. That car was owned by Billy Gibbons, the band's vocalist and guitarist, and this Monday, his love of hot rods is taking center stage when Discovery airs a new pilot called ROCKIN' ROADSTERS at 10pm ET/PT. Check out a couple of preview clips below...
