Disney XD's Star Wars Rebels just wrapped its third season, and with season four coming this fall, we haven't seen the last from the crew of the Ghost. The latest installment of Funko's Smuggler's Bounty Subscription box started arriving in mailboxes and on porches a few weeks back, and it's the perfect way to close out the season - perfectly-themed with Star Wars Rebels. Rather than just do a standard unboxing and review, this time we're mixing it up a bit... I put the camera and directorial duties in the hands of 7-year-old Adalyn, who helms the action as 4-year-old Finley does the honors in cracking the box and showing off the goods. Watch the video below!

Collectors of Funko Pop! Vinyl got a surprise this week with the reveal of two new Entertainment Earth Exclusives - and they're from very different corners of the pop culture landscape. From Warner Bros.' upcoming Wonder Woman, there's a Diana Prince vinyl figure that features the character in her "civilian disguise" for the first-time ever. And for those into some serious horror action, there's a "Bloody" Ash from Starz' Ash vs Evil Dead. Check them out below, courtesy of my affiliate, Entertainment Earth.

First revealed at New York Toy Fair back in 2016, the collaboration between Funko and Playmobil was a bit of an unexpected one. Playmobil is one of my favorite toy lines of all-time, producing quality, German-designed toys since 1974. Funko is a more recent success story, the Washington-based maker of Pop! Vinyl ever-expanding their footprint into the pop culture world and beyond. For Funko x Playmobil, the two toymakers have partnered for a series of 6" collectible figures that are scaled more in-line with what Funko is known for, but with the iconic Playmobil look and feel. What makes these special is that they're the first-ever pop culture licenses to appear in Playmobil form, and while they're bigger than the norm, they also serve as a preview for Playmobil Ghostbusters, which launches in May of 2017. With the first wave of Funko x Playmobil officially released, my friends at Entertainment Earth sent over an assortment of figures for review here at Rock Father HQ, and one duo that I was really excited to see was Doctor Emmett Brown and Marty McFly from Back to the Future!

Ah, the Corleone family has never been more adorable. In celebration of the 45th anniversary of Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather, the folks at Funko have given some famed cinematic mobsters a POP! Vinyl overhaul. Coming in February, Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando), Michael Corleone (Al Pacino), Sonny Corleone (James Caan) and that poor fisherman, Fredo Corleone (John Cazale) get POP!'d, and they're all up for pre-order through my allies at Entertainment Earth.

It was just a couple of weeks ago that I posted an announcement regarding Funko's plans to release POP! Vinyl Star Wars Cantina Aliens 3-Pack featuring Greedo, Hammerhead and Walrus Man, each presented in a color scheme matching their Kenner action figures from the late 1970s. Rumors of just such a pack had been circling for awhile, and with the Star Wars 40th Anniversary Celebration taking place this year, the time is right to bridge the gap between younger fans and old-schoolers like myself. Now, this 3-Pack is making its way out to retail as a Walmart Exclusive, and I got my hands on one right here at Rock Father HQ. Seeing the pictures online was one thing, but seeing these in-person is a complete flashback to my childhood... specifically, the 1978 Sears Cantina Adventure Set...

Last year, one big story out of New York Toy Fair was that for the very first time, Playmobil would be issuing toys based on famous pop culture licenses. Promised to debut in 2017, this was exciting news on its own, but another component of the launch was revealed to be a collaboration with Funko on some larger figures presented in 6" scale. Today, Funko x Playmobil is a reality, and the first wave of 6" collectible figures is available for pre-order through my ally, Entertainment Earth! The first twelve figures are spread over five pop culture licenses including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Doctor Who and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory... and one of them is an Entertainment Earth Exclusive TMNT Black and White Raphael!
