Just when you think that the folks at Funko have cranked out Pop! Vinyls for just about every pop culture license imaginable, something new pops up that's so obvious, you wonder why it's taken so long to get to it. A prime example is the newly-announced collection of SCOOBY-DOO Pop! Vinyl figures - based on the classic Hanna-Barbera animated series.  Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby (pre-order from my ally, Entertainment Earth) each measure 3¾" tall and come packaged in an attractive window box, as always. It really is a mystery as to how these weren't made sooner... probably had something to do with "meddling kids."

“Our recovery mission is a disaster… My entire project is already off schedule and over budget…” – Director Krennic, Chapter 2, Go Rogue

The second installment of the STAR WARS GO ROGUE YouTube Series has been released, showcasing more new toys from Hasbro, LEGO, FUNKO, JAKKS Pacific, Mattel and Disney Store as they try to track down the building instructions to the LEGO Star Wars Death Star set that have been misplaced by the Empire.  Check it out below!

Now THIS is the kind of surprise news that I like to see! Straight from my friends at Disney/Lucasfilm comes the first installment of GO ROGUE, a series of fan-created shorts that serve as the reveal for the new toys from ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY (my most-anticipated movie and toy collection of 2016). The stories in GO ROGUE follow the adventures of “Rogue One” toys from Hasbro, LEGO, FUNKO, JAKKS Pacific, Mattel and Disney Store as they try to track down the building instructions to the LEGO Star Wars Death Star set which have been misplaced by the Empire. Check out the first episode, and all the vital details below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine!

As the folks at Funko prepare to set their "Jabba's Palace" edition of their STAR WARS Smuggler's Bounty subscription boxes free upon the world, here at Rock Father HQ the time has come to share our unboxing of the most recent installment, "Bounty Hunters." While little Finley of The Rock Daughters™ and I cracked this open weeks ago (big sister Addie was at school), I'm late when it comes to posting, but I assure you that it's probably the cutest unboxing of these that you'll see...

Something strange is going on here... perhaps a resurgence of THE A-TEAM, or just some savvy marketing of the NBC Universal television lineup of the mid 1980s? After the recent announcement that THE A-TEAM and KNIGHT RIDER are coming to LEGO Dimensions (could AIRWOLF be far behind?), Funko has revealed that the crack commando unit is getting the Pop! Vinyl treatment with B.A. Baracus, John "Hannibal" Smith, "Howling Mad" Murdock and Templeton "Faceman" Peck coming to the Pop! Television line in August, followed by THE A-TEAM VAN as a new addition to the Pop! Rides collection in September. All of these are available for pre-order now via my allies over at Entertainment Earth, and since I already have the Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment versions of the famed GMC Van and Face's Chevrolet Corvette in my office here at Rock Father HQ, I have to say that there is a temptation here...

I've written a surprising amount about Strawberry Shortcake here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine over the years (18 articles by current count) - one of the timeless pop culture properties that I grew up on and played with alongside my sister, and now enjoy with The Rock Daughters™. My friends at Entertainment Earth have just sent over details on the first-ever scented Funko Pop! Vinyls, and they're appropriately from the world of Strawberry Shortcake & Friends, borrowing from the classic styling of the original characters from the 1980s. The first wave includes Strawberry Shortcake and Custard, Blueberry Muffin and Cheesecake, Orange Blossom and Marmalade and Lemon Meringue and Frappe. They're expected to ship this September. Check 'em out...
