It's never fun to do a reveal that doesn't genuinely show the goods, but sometimes things just aren't quite ready yet. At Toy Fair there's always a lot of in-development product that's "pending licensor approval," and for some companies that means showing it privately, but not allowing pictures to get out there. The folks at Jada Toys have some fantastic offerings on the way, serving up new toys for kids and collectors alike, but unfortunately most of them are not ready to be seen. From new additions to their growing Nano Metalfigs line to all-new collections like a diecast line for girls (complete with licenses like Nickelodeon's Sunny Day) and expansion of their long-running Fast & Furious and supercar/tuners assortments, I'll be sharing much more very soon. For right now, though - there's one line in particular that really hit the sweet spot for me, and one property that really pushed it over the top. Hollywood Rides + KNIGHT RIDER? I'm in! It's gonna be another big year at the movies - but will it be at the box office? After a year soft on theater receipts and some less-than-stellar movie tie-ins, JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM is looming on the horizon, prepping for its June 22, 2018 release. While the promotional partners are vast, one returning from 2015's Jurassic World is LEGO Group, and today they've announced a joint partnership with Universal Brand Development for a collection that goes beyond the norm. Like the last time around, they'll offer an expanded line of construction sets, all-new animated content, and, for the first time ever, a lifestyle collection. Among the new collections will be construction sets that span every LEGO age category (Duplo/Juniors/LEGO), as well as two all-new, animated videos, and a collection of soft lines and publishing to reach audiences beyond the toy aisle. A few sets have been revealed this week, with more set to debut at Toy Fair in New York in mid-February (I will be in attendance for that).

JURASSIC WORLD was hands-down one of the biggest movies of the year, and of all-time. While the movie has come home just in-time for the Holiday gifting season, it's not just the movie that could come stomping down chimneys and into stockings and under Christmas trees this year. Dinosaurs are always popular with kids, and while the movie might've been a PG-13 affair, there's something for everyone when it comes to the off-screen fun. There's Playskool Heroes dinosaurs and figures, Hasbro dinos and vehicles, LEGO Jurassic Park building sets, cool diecast vehicles from Matchbox and Jada Toys and much more. JURASSIC WORLD is a featured pick in my 2015 Holiday Wish Guide here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine.

Team JurassicThe #1 movie of the year has stomped onto Digital HD, proving once again that dinosaurs rule the earth... or at least the cinemas and home theaters. Now available on Digital HD, and coming to Blu-ray and DVD on October 20, JURASSIC WORLD is a modern creature classic - reigniting the JURASSIC PARK franchise for audiences new and old alike, and a top movie in my 2015 Holiday Wish Guide. To celebrate the Digital HD release, Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Hasbro and THE ROCK FATHER Magazine are getting one (1) lucky reader hooked up with an iTunes Code good for JURASSIC WORLD, and the JURASSIC WORLD STOMP & STRIKE TYRANNOSAURUS REX Dinosaur toy!
