In my adventures over the years, I've had the opportunity to drive a lot of different vehicles. What I've come to realize is that I'm definitely a "car guy" - meaning that I have little interest in motorcycles, and a limited knowledge of trucks. That doesn't mean that I haven't driven them, as I've been behind the wheel of many, but surprisingly it's full-size pickup trucks that have largely eluded me. That's just one reason why I was so intrigued by the chance to get behind the wheel of the 2017 Toyota Tundra Limited Double Cab - a full-size pickup, and a ride that feels just gigantic compared to what I'm used to. The quick take? I loved it.

Twist and Seal first hit my radar a few years back when their first weather-resistant cord protector started popping up at retailers around the holidays. Now, the Twist and Seal family of products includes four unique items, each with a specific application that helps to achieve the same end result: protection of electrical connections from the elements. Personally, I've dealt with wet plugs and moisture issues for years, and here at Rock Father HQ, it's always the holiday season that's most painful. Christmas lights are notoriously fragile, with tiny fuses that aren't water-proof, and wet connections constantly tripping our GFCI outlets. Add the recent blow-up characters and laser shows into the mix, and there's more chance for irritation. That doesn't mean that other seasons are devoid of hassle, and with summer approaching, we'll also have our DynaTrap and some outdoor lighting that will need protection, and thanks to Twist and Seal, there's a solution for that as well. The folks at Twist and Seal - located right here in Illinois - sent over some items for review, and in the video below, I'll walk you through them...

Netflix Stream TeamI've often said that "we're living in a Golden Age of television for kids and family" audiences, and that sentiment is one that bears repeating. Changes in culture and viewing habits have forced change among content creators, and competition has been a great thing for audiences as the quality and diversity of programming has really seen a huge uptick over the past few years. For Netflix in particular, the focus on kids and family has been a big one, and their partnerships have spawned some incredible things - from educational and entertaining, to adventurous and action-packed... and sometimes, all of the above, there's something for every taste. Here's some Rock Father Picks for the Spring of 2017!

For 2017, one of the most unique new offerings is the All Around Playtime Patio with Canopy™, a new style of kid's playhouse that's wheelchair accessible, and exceptionally spacious in combining multiple play options into one affordable package. 2017 CAS LogoThe best quote I've seen from an auto exec this year? "A 12-second quarter mile, toy-hauling, three-row muscle car." Tim Kuniskis of Dodge on the 2018 Durango SRT

The 2017 Chicago Auto Show is about to kick into high-gear, and the Dodge and SRT brands are rocking the high-performance automotive world once again, bringing a huge burst of American power, acceleration and best-in-class tow capability to the three-row SUV segment with the new 2018 Dodge Durango SRT  (the fastest SUV in its class). Debuting in Chicago this week, the Durango will make its way into dealerships later this year. Now, check out this burnout!

The folks at InRoad Toys have been making PlayTape for a few years now - innovative peel-and-stick road pieces and train tracks that allow kids to use their imagination for creating new layouts to use with their favorite toy cars or train sets. Last year, they partnered with Mattel for a licensed assortment of Hot Wheels Playtape Track, bringing the iconic "Orange Track" to the PlayTape realm for the very first time. Touting hours of open-ended play that kids can "unroll, stick & race," the folks at InRoad sent some samples to the Toy Testing Facility at Rock Father HQ™, and The Rock Daughters™ were more than happy to go hands-on! Check out the video below...
