THE ROCK FATHER has partnered with Lunchbox and Mattel for this high-octane sponsored post...
It's no secret that we're big fans of HOT WHEELS here at Rock Father HQ. In fact, I've often thrown down some virtual ink about Mattel's iconic line of diecast vehicles and playsets over in the "Rides" section of site, and if you've seen my Instagram, you've seen new additions to our collection on a regular basis. Now comes HOT WHEELS RACE REWARDS exclusively at Walmart. Quite simply, you can earn cool rewards on the HOT WHEELS you're already buying for the little ones (or yourself) - rewards like the brand-new Exclusive MONSTER JAM MONSTER MUTT that you can only get through HOT WHEELS RACE REWARDS. Buy, scan and earn. HOT WHEELS 1:64 scale diecast vehicles are a perfect stocking stuffer!
When Lorde sang that "we'll never be Royals," it was immediately clear that she's not yet a parent. If she were, then she'd fully realize that it's not only possible, but incredibly likely to become Royals on a fairly frequent basis - a transformation that can occur several times a week, or during some phases - every, single day. You see, my wife and I are raising a pair of daughters - each of which occasionally displays traits that reflect the true spirit of a Disney Princess. The kindness of Snow White... the heroic spark for adventure of Merida... the grace of Sleeping Beauty... the wonder of Sofia the First, the attitude of Princess Leia (hey, she's Disney now!) and even, the cleaning skill of Cinderella. Yes, that, too. It's not just one thing that represents a Princess in The Kingdom of Rock Fatheria™, but a lot of elements that come together for a series of regular Royal Adventures.

When I paid a visit to The Walt Disney Animation Research Library on a special mission earlier this year, I caught a glimpse at some original artwork from Disney's 1959 classic, SLEEPING BEAUTY. The reason that this priceless artwork was being looked at again is that preparation was underway for the Diamond Edition Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD Combo Pack that's being released this week. Now, to celebrate the re-release of this true classic, Walmart is playing host to a very special Disney Princess Event THIS Saturday (10/11/2014) at select stores Nationwide.

I'm an original STAR WARS fan. My relationship with George Lucas' saga dates back to my earliest days, fueling my childhood and helping to shape me into adulthood. I've worked on a movie about STAR WARS... recorded a song about STAR WARS... and at one point, had an entire room full of STAR WARS toys. I wish I'd never sold them, as I'm now a parent, and the next generation of STAR WARS fans is here. While many feared that the prequel trilogy would be STAR WARS for future audiences, the franchise is officially back on-track under the ownership of Disney, and while old folks like me eagerly await the 2015 release of J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, the newly-launched STAR WARS REBELS proves that our beloved saga is in good hands. After seeing an early screening of STAR WARS REBELS: SPARK OF REBELLION ahead of it's recent Disney Channel Premiere, I'm confident that this is my daughter's STAR WARS. And now, we've got it on DVD thanks to an Exclusive early release at Walmart.

"Which house will have the best #Treats4All this year?" Well, Rock Father HQ is looking pretty good right about now. In fact, it's become sort of a tradition here to break out the treats just for our family for a little pre-Halloween cheer, and that was the case this weekend as we got our Fall and Halloween decor going up in full-effect. I'm always playing with new ideas, and as much as I'd love to do "scary," we tend to end up leaning "cute" to welcome Trick or Treaters to our home each October. Come that glorious day (which is actually taking place on October 26 in our party-pooping town), all the little ghosts and ghouls will get a chance to score some good candy like Butterfinger, Nestle Crunch and Baby Ruth.

Superheroes are part of daily life here at Rock Father HQ. Most of you know that by now, but I live it daily, when my girls break out their Spider-man (which you will be corrected to acknowledge as "Spider-GIRL") or Rocket Racoon masks for an adventure in the yard, or when Iron Man and Captain America spend some time having tea with Rapunzel and Ariel in the Disney Princess Castle. Not long ago, I saw the Iron Patriot chilling out with Boba Fett on the sun deck of the Barbie Dream House, kicking back, completely lounging in a pair of purple adirondack chairs. What can I say? It happens, so when Elsa and Anna show up, the adventure is just beginning. I'm big on imaginative play, tending to go light on the "screens" and big on the physical realm, which is why I've always been intrigued by the Disney Infinity Games - an open-ended platform that manages to merge to physical and the virtual. It's actually the first video game that I've ever let my girls play.
