THE ROCK FATHER is participating in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Hasbro. He received product samples for this feature, and a promotional item as a participation thank you.

The Force is Strong in my family. I have it... my wife has it... our daughters have it. Do you have that power, too? With the December 18th release of J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS fast-approaching in the heart of the Holiday Season, there's an impressive fleet of new toys and games from Hasbro hitting the streets - many of which I've been covering here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine since they began rolling out on "Force Friday" back in September. Family Game Night is certainly an important tradition for many, and The Force can be with it in a trio of new games that have landed firmly here in my 2015 Holiday Wish Guide - the STAR WARS LOOPIN' CHEWIE GAME, CATCH PHRASE: STAR WARS Edition, and the BOP IT! STAR WARS R2-D2 Edition!

With all the coverage I give to STAR WARS, sometimes things still just sort of pop-up here and there, and that's just what's happened tonight. The 1980 STAR WARS Christmas Album (no connection to the infamous STAR WARS Holiday Special) has been a rarity in recent years, but one that some folks like myself have acquired in one form or another due to occasional reissues. Now comes word that a French company called L.M.L.R. has prepped one of their "Vinyl Replica" editions of this bizarre record - a CD-sized true replica of the original vinyl CHRISTMAS IN THE STARS album, with everything scaled-down. Set for release on November 27th as an Amazon Exclusive, the CD appears to be a fully-grooved red vinyl.

Earlier this morning, a new trailer for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS emerged on the YouTube Channel for Walt Disney Studios Japan. While shorter than it's American counterpart, this new trailer contains a ton of new footage and dialog, some of which can certainly be considered "SPOILER" territory for some, though it's really just an extension of moments that we've already seen. Personally, I love how much Rey (Daisy Ridley) is echoing Luke Skywalker in those desert shots - and the APOCALYPSE NOW-styled arrival of TIE Fighters from The First Order is just incredible. December 18th can't get here soon enough. See the new trailer below!

Let the conspiracy theories begin as to why Mark Hamill is absent (patience, Young Jedi - all will be revealed on December 18) as five Character Posters for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS have arrived. Today we get some nice highlights of Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), each thematically displaying their signature weapon. To see these in high-res, visit THE ROCK FATHER Magazine on Facebook.
