The Force Awakens... in the Produce Section

The Power of The Force is everywhere. In fact, The Force Awakens in surprising places everyday, the latest of which is the produce section of your local retailer. Disney Consumer Products (DCP) just dropped the curtain on healthy STAR WARS branded fruit and veggie offerings to celebrate the addition of Lucasfilm to The Walt Disney Company’s Healthy Living Commitment. Just in time for the December release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, families can enjoy Star Wars-themed bagged apples by Sage, citrus fruit by Dayka Hackett, carrots by Kern Ridge and grapes with Yoda-themed packaging by Four Star, which all meet nutritional guidelines put in place by The Walt Disney Company.

It was just over a month ago that a cryptic package was delivered to Rock Father HQ via a Resistance Shuttle. Inside, a message - along with a choice. Had it not been for my girls and their relentless quest to turn me from The Dark Side of The Force, I would've most certainly decided to #ChooseDarkSide and align myself with Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma and The First Order. Instead, I would #ChooseLightSide and find myself cruising the imaginary sands of Jakku alongside Finn, Rey and a little droid called BB-8. A member of The Resistance, I had become. In appreciation of my decision, our Rebel allies from Hasbro jettisoned an Escape Pod that landed here - an assortment of Light Side toys to go hands-on with in the weeks leading up to the release of J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS.

My entire office here at Rock Father HQ is Windows-based, and for the most part, it's been powered by HP for years. As a matter of fact, my main machine (the one these words are coming to you from right now) is an HP Envy 700 Desktop, and my laptop (which has reached the end of its life) is an HP as well - one I special ordered back in 2008. As I've been looking into new laptop options - particularly due to my travel adventures - I've been leaning back toward HP again, and then some ridiculously-perfect news rolled in yesterday: HP is releasing a STAR WARS Special Edition Notebook. My favorite film series + my preferred computer brand + my preferred color scheme of Red & Black?

Each year, Hasbro hosts their annual 'Twas the Night Before... party on the eve of New York Comic-Con, and this year was no exception. The Hasbro team rolled out a full assortment of new toys - focusing heavily on their action brands, with new assortments of STAR WARS, TRANSFORMERS and MARVEL figures and vehicles out in full-force. While some things were shown that I don't have official pictures for just yet, a gallery of the STAR WARS offerings is now available for readers of THE ROCK FATHER Magazine. I've got just-released official shots of The Black Series 6-inch Figures and Titanium Vehicles, along with some new Blind Bag Micro Machines. Check out a sampling below, then head over to my Facebook page for the complete gallery (which includes the FANTASTIC Harrison Ford as Han Solo figure from THE FORCE AWAKENS)!
