Over the years, one thing that I've become known for in certain circles is facial hair. There's a spot on my chin that just never seems to be shaved, and if asked to describe it, I'd generally note that it's an 8½-inch goatee. Many people have called it a "beard," and that's valid as well - but it is something that's taken on a life of it's own. Personally, I think it should be longer - and at times, I've asked my wife if she secretly trims its length while I'm sleeping. As most who've seen it up close can attest to, its length and girth is decent (perhaps even impressive to some), but it's been fairly unruly, and that's completely my fault. Truth be told, I let my beard sorta do its own thing for awhile, and until I started using The Perfecter: Beard Boss Stubble and Detail Kit by Remington (available at Walmart & Walmart.com), I hadn't properly groomed my goat for a few years. Much like the well-manicured and shaped hedges that adorn the landscape here at Rock Father HQ, it was time to show similar attention to the shrubbery that adorns my face. I had to show my beard who's boss, and in the process I've grown fond of a tool that I'd now call "essential."

Star Wars 40th AnniversaryUPDATED WITH PACKAGING and UPC! There's been some rumors floating for a bit that as part of the Star Wars 40th Anniversary celebration, Funko would be releasing some Pop! Vinyl bobbleheads that feature Star Wars characters done in a color scheme to match their original Kenner action figures from the 1970s and 80s. Concept art has been trading the back channels leading some to speculate on its authenticity, but tonight comes confirmation of at least three characters that rank among my childhood favorites: Hammerhead, Greedo and Walrus Man

Ever since I purchased my first car as a teen, I've loved spending time keeping my cars looking great. From the beginning, Armor All has been a fixture in that mission, and over the years I've been thrilled not only to receive an Armor All Car Care Gift Pack - but to gift them as well. It's a quick-and-easy gift that's great to give and receive - all the gear one needs to make it through another season. As a parent, it's also been awesome to see our girls get into it as well, always eager to help mommy and daddy keep the big cars clean, but also to wash their kid-rides as well. Since it's like -10° here at Rock Father HQ right now, let's think about warmer times...

When it comes to the Holidays, there's certain gifts that just evoke that feeling of a classic Christmas. A kid coming downstairs to find a shiny new bike under the tree is one of those things, but as both Santa and parents know, kids grow (and outgrow) quickly, and families want to be sure that their children have a quality bike at a price that doesn't break the bank. The folks at Kent International have a full range of bikes for the whole family, but for my 2016 Holiday Wish Guide I'm focusing on the 2+, 5+ and 8+ range, including their 18" Sparkle Freestyle BMX Bike... the same one that our youngest daughter has been rockin' the sidewalk on, sent to us this Fall for review.

TMNT x WWE Ninja Superstars Hit the Streets!

After being unveiled at New York Comic-Con last month, the first-ever collaboration between WWE and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has hit the streets! The TMNT Ninja Superstars line of action figures from Playmates Toys is available exclusively at Walmart as of this week, a wave of four figures that feature Mikey, Leo, Raph and Donnie decked-out in full ring garb in tribute to their favorite WWE Superstars.

As I mentioned last month, I'm in the midst of making another go at rebooting my own personal wellness routine. It's a daily struggle, and there's a lot of different components to it, a big one being energy. Getting back into my regular workout routine (something I'm still building back up to) is perhaps the biggest piece of the puzzle, followed by eating right and taking the proper supplements. With the amount of daily running I already do with the kids, I'm looking toward the holiday season in hopes that I can up my game. It's all part of that "mind-body balance," hence I've added some Nature Made® VitaMelts Fast Dissolve Energy (Vitiamin B12 1500mcg) into the mix, along with some Chewable Vitamin C to help boost my immune system during my travel dates. I have a bad habit of getting run-down,
