If it feels like season one of DreamWorks' Trolls: The Beat Goes On! just hit Netflix, that's probably because it did... a month ago. But as I first promised you, indeed there is a season two (and three, if we're being honest), and today comes your first-look at the trailer for the next batch of episodes. Full details below, but get ready to head back to Troll Village on March 9, 2018!
With two little girls here at Rock Father™ HQ, my wife and I have purchased more than a few pairs of "kid-safe" headphones over the past few years, and frankly, most of them are garbage. From expensive ones that the kids find uncomfortable to the cool-looking, yet terrible-sounding licensed variety sold for cheap at retailers like Five Below, I've checked out a bunch and had never found any that I could really be excited about until now. At New York Toy Fair, I came across something unexpected while browsing the latest offerings from the crew over at Wicked Cool Toys. They've recently partnered with Halo Acoustic to help bring CozyPhones to a wider audience, and after bringing a couple of pairs back to Illinois, they're an immediate hit. CozyPhones are a 3-in-1 combo of headphones, sleep mask and a stylish headband.
The launch of Disney Junior's reimagined MUPPET BABIES is upon us. News hit Rock Father HQ this morning that the new original series will premiere FRIDAY, MARCH 23 with two back-to-back episodes on Disney Channel (10:00 a.m. EDT) and in the DisneyNOW app. Additionally, families that are ready to immerse themselves in the Muppet Babies' world a little earlier can enjoy the series' Season One Soundtrack, which will hit retail and streaming on February 23, 2018. The new album features the title theme song, performed by Tony Award-winner Renée Elise Goldsberry, best-known for originating the role of Angelica Schuyler in Broadway's Hamilton: An American Musical. Check out the title sequence and theme song below, along with all the details on this adorable new series!
It's never fun to do a reveal that doesn't genuinely show the goods, but sometimes things just aren't quite ready yet. At Toy Fair there's always a lot of in-development product that's "pending licensor approval," and for some companies that means showing it privately, but not allowing pictures to get out there. The folks at Jada Toys have some fantastic offerings on the way, serving up new toys for kids and collectors alike, but unfortunately most of them are not ready to be seen. From new additions to their growing Nano Metalfigs line to all-new collections like a diecast line for girls (complete with licenses like Nickelodeon's Sunny Day) and expansion of their long-running Fast & Furious and supercar/tuners assortments, I'll be sharing much more very soon. For right now, though - there's one line in particular that really hit the sweet spot for me, and one property that really pushed it over the top. Hollywood Rides + KNIGHT RIDER? I'm in! Check out the video below...
At this point, it's very difficult to keep a release date quiet, especially when franchises tend to stick to an easily-deciphered pattern. Almost immediately after Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi hit theaters in December, many had it pegged for a March home video release, and that is indeed the case. Lucasfilm sent over the official announcement this morning, revealing that families can bring the latest chapter of Star Wars home digitally in HD and 4K Ultra HD and via Movies Anywhere March 13 and on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray disc March 27. This release marks Disney’s first title available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc in both Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos immersive audio. Check out the specs below, along with a badass new trailer for the in-home release!
Nickelodeon's new hit preschool series Top Wing is getting a toy line. The product line, which includes figures, vehicles and plush inspired by the show’s four best friend rescue birds, will launch in the U.S. this fall, followed by international markets in Spring 2019. These new toys will arrive courtesy of Hasbro, and will be released under the iconic PLAYSKOOL banner. News arrived today ahead of Toy Fair in New York...
