There's a lot of newer holiday traditions that have hit the scene in recent years, some of which it could be argued have added some additional stress to what can already be a stressful season. But last year, Reindeer in Here arrived, bringing families a fun, new stress-free tradition. In early December, the Reindeer in Here plush and book "magically" arrive from Santa as a first gift for the season. Rather than send a mischievous minion to "spy" on kids, this loving reindeer is here to get to know each child better to learn their true Christmas wishes and to celebrate the differences of every child and each family. Last year, Reindeer in Here quickly sold-out, but for 2018 it's back for a second-edition - quickly becoming an Amazon Top Pick and #1 Bestseller! To celebrate, The Rock Father™ and Reindeer in Here have teamed-up to showcase the magic and give you a chance to win your own Reindeer in Here gift pack as part of the 2018 Holiday Wish Guide™!

There's a few artists whose concert films I always pick up, and Brian Setzer is one of those. While he's had several DVD and Blu-ray releases over the years, only a a handful have focused on The Brian Setzer Orchestra, and there hasn't been a holiday release since 2005's Christmas Extravaganza. That changes this season with the release of Christmas Rocks! Live, coming to Blu-ray on November 9, 2018 via Surfdog Records. See the trailer and full tracklisting below, and if you want more family entertainment for the holidays, check out The Rock Father's Ultimate Guide to New Release Holiday Music and Movies for 2018, a presentation of my Holiday Wish Guide™!

It hasn't been officially announced by any of the involved parties just yet, but those awaiting news on where Geoffrey's Toy Box merchandise would show up now have an answer. Pallet shippers of Toys "R" Us house brand merchandise are now arriving at Kroger stores as part of the new Geoffrey's Toy Box collection from Geoffrey, LLC. The Ohio-based Kroger operates stores under several names in around 35 states, and there's no word yet on if all of their affiliated brands will be included in the Geoffrey's Toy Box program or not.

For Veterans Day 2018, IAmElemental, pioneers in the female action figure category, will debut a new children’s activity book, the Elements of Power Workbook.  The books are being Made in America, printed by Auch Printing, Inc. - a second-generation veteran-owned business based in Glenside, Pennsylvania. All profits from workbooks sold during the month of November will support United Through Reading, an organization that connects military families who are separated -- for deployment or military assignment -- by providing the bonding experience of shared storytime.  In addition, on Veterans Day, observed Monday, November 12, all profits from all sales at IAmElemental.com will benefit the charity.

It's Monday morning as I write this, and as has been the case in recent years, there's a feeling of disappointment. You see, yesterday was trick-or-treat day where we live here in Illinois - 1-4pm on a Sunday. The next subdivision over (literally around the corner and across the street) is a different town and will do theirs on Wednesday, Halloween proper.

Whether you believe that this last hurrah really is the end... or that KISS has become bigger than its members and will live on with other performers wearing the iconic makeup, 2019 is going to be an important year for the band as KISS (in their current form) will embark on their final tour ever. After an epic 45 year career, KISS made the initial announcement last month on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and today comes news with the first set of dates and cities in North America, produced by Live Nation.
