KENNY CHESNEY gets the Lullaby Treatment...

They won't be Corona bottles you'll be icing while listening to this one, but country-minded parents have something soothing coming their way. The folks over at Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star have just issued LULLABY VERSIONS OF KENNY CHESNEY,  a twelve-track collection of the singer's greatest hits, reworked into lush, instrumental versions perfect for any nursery.  The Rock Father™ has the full tracklisting and cover art below.

Since I've never covered Nickelodeon's KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS before (in any of my past writing gigs), I have to make the somewhat obvious statement that it looks more like the ''Tween Choice Awards.'' We tend to be a Sprout house (though Nickjr. does have a few good shows), and I like to remember Nickelodeon as being the place for shows like PINWHEEL, MR. WIZARD'S WORLD, TODAY'S SPECIAL, and FINDERS KEEPERS. But, that was 30 years ago and Nick is a different game these days. With the announcement of the nominees for their 2012 Kids' Choice Awards last week, let's take a look at a few of the music-centric categories.

If you didn't snag tickets to see GUNS N' ROSES at one of their ''up close and personal'' shows, you've now got a chance to catch the band online as they stream this Sunday's performance at the HOUSE OF BLUES here in Chicago. For only $5, you can take part in a pay-per-view livestream from GunsNRoses.com to benefit FEEDING AMERICA, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief organization. Through the leadership of Feeding America, proceeds from domestic-based subscribers will be allocated throughout the U.S. Full details and times below... let's just hope that Axl shows up on time for this one...

When my little one and I visit the local park district for ''parent-tot playtime'' during the week, one of the simplest, yet always hot play items are the fabric tents and tunnels. In fact, they're so popular that fellow parents often get caught up in discussion about getting one for their own home. Since last summer, I've probably led more than a few parents in the direction of the ENORMOUS I TUNNEL from Pacific Play Tents. Special-ordered by Grandma for my daughter's 2nd birthday from TOYS R US ($59.99), the item was drop-shipped to our home from Pacific Play Tents' warehouse in Indiana.

Tomorrow is a day that's all about the TRANSFORMERS at THE HUB (they are part owned by Hasbro), and while the network debut of the 1986 TRANSFORMERS: THE ANIMATED MOVIE (9pm ET) is cool, they'll also be showing the Season Two Premiere of TRANSFORMERS PRIME (8:30pm ET, though I've never been able to get into the all-CGI series'). What I'm interested in is the first TRANSFORMERS series for tots... TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS.
