The casting of BEN AFFLECK as BATMAN in the forthcoming SUPERMAN/BATMAN team-up might be old news at this point, but today I've got some Bat-related news that is also... old news. Sorta... But it's probably new to you!

As I sit here typing this post, I'm wearing a TURBO MAN "It's Turbo Time!" t-shirt. I hope that most of you get the reference - a nod to one of SINBAD's finest cinematic moments (and Arnold Schwarzenegger's best movie), JINGLE ALL THE WAY. On August 22, SINBAD is back in theaters for one-night only, a special screening of his new comedy special, SINBAD: MAKE ME WANNA HOLLA. It's a night of comedy and funk presented by Fathom Events at select Cinemas Nationwide, and you know what? It's perfect for a Grownups Night Out, and with that, Fathom Events and The Rock Father are giving away two pairs of tickets so that a couple of lucky readers can check out the film at a theater of their choice (click here for listings). Ready to get the kids a 'sitter to get out for a night of comedy?

Rick MoranisWhen I was a kid, thanks to HBO, I could not get away from RICK MORANIS. And that's not a bad thing. SCTV re-runs were on constantly, and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (which I should've been too young to watch) was viewed more times than I can count. But Moranis was both Louis Tully ("The Keymaster!") and Lord Dark Helmet, and GHOSTBUSTERS and SPACEBALLS are still viewed regularly here nearly 30 years later. Now, as the time approaches when I can share some of Moranis' classic works with my own kids, he's back with something for grownups - a new comedy album called MY MOTHER'S BRISKET & OTHER LOVE SONGS - and The Rock Father and The Syndicate want to get a few readers hooked up with copies of their own.
