DROWNING POOL's 2001 single "Bodies" has not only become the band's signature song, but one parodied and covered in countless ways. The latest new spin on an old favorite comes from SOCK PUPPET PARODY, who have re-recorded the song and issued a new music video shot on-location in a Texas laundromat. When you have to "let the laundry hit the floor," it might as well be some cool skate socks, right? Check out the sock puppet version of DROWNING POOL below!

According to star Seth Rogen, THE NIGHT BEFORE is a movie that "was made by Jews about Christmas and opens on Thanksgiving." That's completely accurate, and Columbia/Sony Pictures' forthcoming Xmas comedy marks the first time that I've kicked-off a Holiday Movie Season by featuring a film that's completely not family-friendly. In fact, unless you work somewhere really cool, the just-released red-band trailer is probably not even safe for your place of employment. Funny enough, Rogen's church scene is pretty close to my own visits to a house of worship... minus the Star of David sweater.

Animator Joey Siler has been making waves in the rock world for a bit with viral clips like his COOKING HOSTILE WITH PHIL ANSELMO series. Through his parodies, Siler has featured the likes of PANTERA, SLAYER, OZZY OSBOURNE, ANTHRAX, BUCKETHEAD, TESTAMENT and more... in cartoon form, and usually cooking. Now he's going after the ingredients, with SECRET METAL MYSTERIES: KORN and DEFTONES. What does Korn have to do with Corn? Watch the video below... popcorn's ready!

Two things I really love: STAR WARS and ENTOURAGE. Both have new movies in theaters later this year, and today comes a potentially-viral clip from the folks at Quiznos (yes, those purveyors of tasty subs that massively over-expanded in the Chicago market, and all but disappeared following the "Great Recession" and prior to their 2014 bankruptcy - I know too much about this stuff). The new short from Windowseat recalls a time when STAR WARS mashups were just coming into their own with "fan films" like AMERICAN JEDI or TROOPS. Check out STARTOURAGE: THE FOURSOME AWAKENS below, and let me know - does it make you want a sub? Toasty...

What does $100K raised on Kickstarter get you? A lot of different things, I'm sure, but for Gabriel Diani and Etta Devine, $101,145 has funded the product of DIANI & DEVINE MEET THE APOCALYPSE, a new film starring a who's who of familiar faces from "some of their favorite stuff" (as noted in their crowdfunding pitch). The first teaser for the film has arrived, with pre-orders now up on their official site. Judging from this, it looks like MAD MAX with pretzels and a shopping cart. Check it out...

David Milchard is a man of action. While unlikely and perhaps unintended, his connection to the DC Comics Universe is solid - having taken The Dark Archer's ARROW through the chest, only later to be resurrected as someone else on THE FLASH. Jumping into an entirely different fandom altogether, he also found himself working alongside Jensen Ackles' Dean Winchester for a pair of SUPERNATURAL adventures, and will soon face the unexplained once more in PARANORMAL SOLUTIONS, INC., a new series that's being touted as "THE X-FILES meets IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA meets THE STATE meets BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER but waaaaaay better." In many ways, Milchard is living what many kids dream of - the opportunity to play dress-up and make-believe on a daily basis, a continuously-busy and hard-working actor deeply embedded in Vancouver's non-stop creative scene. But David doesn't just do the auditions and wait for projects to arise - he often chooses his own adventures, making them happen with a regular crew of collaborators and co-conspirators. If you've seen him on-screen before, there's a good chance that it was in the massively-viral CONVOS WITH MY 2-YEAR OLD (since updated to CONVOS WITH MY 4-YEAR OLD). While there's much to be said about being a Producer/Director/Writer of a webseries that's already logged more than 61 million+ views, it's Milchard who stars as Coco, the titular child at the center of the series. Now, David goes even bigger with a leading role as Nate Ferraro in RUSSELL MADNESS, a new film from AIR BUD Entertainment and 20th Century Fox. I recently had a chance to speak with David - an interview that eventually became a series of... convos with my 2-year old and 5-year old.
