A Fun-Tastic Year for TALKING ANGELA...

Yesterday, TALKING ANGELA celebrated her birthday, though the fashion-forward feline declined to let anyone know exactly how old she is. Her star is rising, with her own dedicated YouTube channel logging over 159 million views so far, and Talking Angela has taken the digital world by storm; cat-apulting into the apps record books with her series of apps including Talking Angela, My Talking Angela and more.  Reaching new viewers each week in Talking Tom and Friends: The Animated Series (an adventure that follows the crew as they make their own reality show), let's take a quick look at Angela by the numbers...

Nickelodeon announced today it has greenlit 20 episodes of the social-media influenced comedy Pinky Malinky, the next original animated series to join the growing roster of content driven by creators discovered all over the world.  Co-created and co-executive produced by Chris Garbutt and Rikke Asbjoern (The Amazing World of Gumball)and executive produced by Scott Kreamer (Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness), the trio are a part of the Artist Collective, an internal diverse group of experienced creators who mentor and support up-and-coming talent while also collaborating to cultivate, challenge and inspire Nickelodeon’s development pipeline.  Pinky Malinky follows the everyday life of Pinky Malinky, an infectiously positive hotdog living in a human world who along with his two best friends, navigate school and life with a unique perspective.  Their humorous experiences will also be shared across social media and Nickelodeon’s digital platforms. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, Calif., the series is scheduled to premiere in 2016.

Wizard World Chicago begins tonight with Kick Off the Con at Level 257 in Schaumburg (THE ROCK FATHER will be there), and this weekend CONtv LIVE brings the action into the homes of viewers around the Globe. Check out the official details below...

Los Angeles' THE AUGMENTS PROJECT have just released a video for the title track of their debut EP, AWAKEN (available on Bandcamp). "The track 'Awaken' was the first song we all wrote together, so it holds special weight for us all. The ideology of the band is for us all to shine in our skill sets, and I think that happened," states frontman Jimmy Trigger. "The result: something fresh & new but hinting that old skool influence. 'Awaken' is an aggressive song that got me to delve into emotions that I haven't visited in quite a while -- dealing with the turmoil of life and doing our best to succeed regardless." WWEDoSomething.org, one of the largest global organizations for young people and social change, and global entertainment company WWE and its Be a STAR anti-bullying initiative, are teaming up for The Bully Text: Superstar Edition. The campaign, now in its second year, gets young people to take action around bullying by playing an SMS text message game.
