I met Brian Posehn once. I went to see him at the late Zanies Comedy Club in Vernon Hills, Illinois, where I chatted with him briefly after the show and handed him a copy of a comic book that I'd written... and thought he might enjoy (being into metal and horror and all). Posehn is a funny guy... but he's also a Dad - a certified "Rock Father" in his own right - and now he's bringing life as a Heavy Metal Dad (speaking of which, you should enter this) into his act with THE FARTIST, a new stand-up special that made it's debut on Netflix earlier this year and comes to DVD and CD on June 25 via New Wave Dynamics.

Comedian PETE HOLMES will debut his new comedy special, NICE TRY, THE DEVIL on Sunday May 12 at 11pm ET on Comedy Central. The following Tuesday, it hits CD/DVD/Digital in an extended and uncensored edition. NICE TRY, THE DEVIL finds Holmes contemplating the loneliness of making his bed, Ryan Gosling, the rapture and more.

Comedian Al Madrigal is getting ready to debut his first one-hour stand-up special on Comedy Central when Al Madrigal: Why Is The Rabbit Crying?, premiere's on Friday, April 26 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. The special finds the celebrated stand-up comedian, The Daily Show correspondent, and LA family man (he hosts the MINIVAN MEN podcast alongside Maz Jobrani and Chris Spencer - a group that admits that none of them actually own a minivan, which is appreciated.) bringing his act to The Moody Theater in Austin, telling the hilarious true tales of Coach Frankie, the Cholo soccer dad; a fun afternoon with “Liam Neeson,” the cleaning lady; and the joys of parenting.

On April 1, Comedy Central will premiere the first original one-hour stand-up special from Kristen Schaal, when Kristen Schaal: Live at the Fillmore airs at midnight ET/PT. The NFSW-action will then arrive on DVD the following day (April 2, for those not paying attention) as an extended and uncensored version (pre-order here). The DVD will feature material not seen in the broadcast, including Comedy Central Presents: Kristen Schaal, Kristen’s performance on John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, and her favorite appearances on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as the Women’s Issues Contributor. Check out a preview below...

On March 26, Comedy Central Records will release DRUNK TEXTS TO MYSELF, the debut comedy album from TREVER MOORE (a founding member of sketch troupe The Whitest Kids U’ Know). Even though the video has been out for a couple of weeks, it feels right to post "The Pope Rap (Modern Day Profit)" here today since that whole "Pope Francis" thing went down at The Vatican this afternoon.
