Preview Comedy Central's TODD BARRY: SUPER CRAZY

Written by

Comedy Central just hit The Rock Father with a preview widget for TODD BARRY's new special, Todd Barry: Super Crazy. The special premieres on Saturday, July 21st at 11pm, while the uncensored CD and DVD will arrive at retail on July 24th. Check out that preview below.

Well, this was an unexpected email to land here at The Rock Father: MAD Magazine's 60th anniversary is here, and Time Home Entertainment Inc. has "foolishly teamed up with MAD Magazine for Totally MAD, a new collection of the legendary humor magazine’s high-quality idiocy that is so widely un-anticipated, this overblown press release is needed to call attention to it." It was, indeed un-anticipated, so let's hear more from that overblown press release, shall we? As a matter of fact, I'm curious where to buy a book here in town these days, but lets see that PR...

This is one of those stories that proves why I don't let the 'Comedy' headlines go on the front page with the family-friendly fare. That said, I still love me some comedy, therefore The Rock Father will continue to have this semi-hidden Comedy section under the ''...for Grownups'' tab. That said...

On July 2, just in time for the forthcoming 236th birthday party for The United States of America, DENIS LEARY will release his new single and video, 'Kiss My Ass.' Sure, it's similar to some other tracks he's done in the past, but that just makes it classic Leary.

It seems like a lifetime ago that JIMMY FALLON released his first comedy album, THE BATHROOM WALL. Actually, it's been a decade since I purchased that album (I still have it), and now Fallon is finally getting around to album number two. The difference this time around is that 2012 Fallon is the host of LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON, a successful late night television program that you've probably watched on occasion. Last time, 2002 Fallon was a Saturday Night Live cast member known for breaking out the acoustic guitar for some musical humor. Instead of prepping an album's worth of new studio tracks, BLOW YOUR PANTS OFF is musical comedy taken directly from his namesake show. Does it deliver? That depends on how much you dig the source material.

This Tuesday, June 12th, Comedy Central Records will release comedian Jesse Pop’s debut digital album, YOU STINK.  The album features an hour of material written over a decade. Popp’s absurd and self-deprecating style includes take on everything from the mundane to the bizarre, such as his impression of a guy who doesn’t understand the rules of Scrabble, and how farm work is different from office work. Check out a preview of Popp's comedy special below:
