The age of REPENTANCE is upon us, and today the band formally reveals themselves ahead of their live debut this May in support of TRIVIUM and TOOTHGRINDER. For the past several months, REPENTANCE has been feverishly writing music at Chicago’s Superior Street Studios, keeping a relatively low profile as the project took shape. Robby J. Fonts will be handling vocal duties, joining a lineup that includes guitarists Shaun Glass and Markus Johnsson, drummer Anthony Lien and bassist Mike Sylvester.

There's some great summer tours hitting the road in 2018, and today comes news of another one. 311 and The Offspring are teaming up for the Never-Ending Summer Tour, a fun-filled summer amphitheater outing with special guests Gym Class Heroes. The tour will also make stops at select regional events throughout the summer. Check out the official announcement video below, along with all the dates and cities where you can catch this tour live!

Over the past year, my girls (The Rock Daughters™) have come to love the music of Dan Auerbach, making that discovery through an unexpected place - the soundtrack for Disney•Pixar's Cars 3. This year The Black Keys frontman is supporting his new solo album, Waiting On A Song and one recent stop was at NPR for a new Tiny Desk Concert. NPR’s Bob Boilen called the performance “an explosion of talent” and Auerbach played alongside the Easy Eye Sound, his studio’s house band, made up of “an abundance of gifted musicians who have all played with a long, long list of legends, including Elvis, Don Williams and John Prine.” Auerbach was also joined for a song by labelmate Robert Finley. Multi-Grammy nominated thrash icons Anthrax will see the band's long-awaited live-in-concert DVD, "Kings Among Scotland," released on April 27 (Megaforce). But before that, the band's Charlie Benante has just posted a video clip where he talks about the filming of the live set, the decision to film in Scotland, and the challenge of playing some of the songs live for the first time ever. Check out the video below...

At the National Science Teachers Association Conference in Atlanta, GA, a surprise announcement was made about a new initiative that will bring something that truly rocks into schools. OK Go has partnered with The Playful Learning Lab to launch the OK Go Sandbox, a program that will provide classrooms around the world with an incredible assortment of content to use alongside the band's music videos for an artistic, STEAM-based experience.

It's been two years since PRODUCT OF HATE released their debut album, BURIED IN VIOLENCE via Napalm Records. Three years of touring (they started the cycle a year prior to the album's release), a few singles, five music videos, a live video and a lyric video later, and we're nearing news on their second album. I'm beyond partial to the band as I co-manage them and have served as director/editor on the aforementioned five videos - and even though the second album is on the way (Shhh! Recording was just completed!), people are still discovering the first one. Having been asked for "playthrough videos" for awhile now, we grabbed some footage from the archives and put together a bass playthrough for "Kill. You. Now." This is four minutes of Mark Campbell going to town on his six-string bass, as pulled from the raw footage from when we shot the original video. Check out the "Slappin' da Bass" version below. Thanks, Paul Rudd!
