It looks like AC/DC may have been playing a goof when the released the ultra-low budget video for "Play Ball" earlier this month, drawing the ire of fans around the Globe. The iconic rockers have just unleashed the proper video for "Rock or Bust," the title track from their forthcoming new album, and the video - like the song itself - is pure, vintage AC/DC. On September 26, the long-awaited Jimi Hendrix biopic, JIMI: ALL IS BY MY SIDE will hit theaters here in the U.S. Focusing on the pre-fame Hendrix, 12 YEARS A SLAVE writer/director John Ridley crafted the film around some challenges - like the Jimi Hendrix Estate barring the use of his music in the film. On June 10, THE WHO will release QUADROPHENIA: LIVE IN LONDON, a concert captured in High Definition last summer, at the end of their 40th Anniversary Tour that celebrated the original album's 1973 release by erforming the full album front-to-back along with a collection of hits and fan favorites. 125litaIt's been over 30 years since LITA FORD and CHERIE CURRIE last performed together as members of the iconic group, THE RUNAWAYS. In fact, the last time these two recorded new music together, the original STAR WARS was still in theaters - 1977. Fast-forward to 2013, and Ford thought that "the world could use a new Christmas song," and that song just so happened to become a duet with her old friend and former bandmate. Released today, "Rock This Christmas Down" is potentially the first in a series of collaborations between these former RUNAWAYS, and one that lands as Day 3 in my annual 25 Days of Xmas here on The Rock Father.
