Power. Grace. Wisdom. Wonder. We have waited far too long for a WONDER WOMAN movie, but next year that wait comes to an end. Just-unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con, the first trailer for Warner Bros.' WONDER WOMAN is stellar - it quite literally gave me goosebumps... twice. If you've seen BATMAN v. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, you may recall the groovy music that signaled Wonder Woman's official entry into the DC Extended Universe, and that theme is here. From director Patty Jenkins, WONDER WOMAN starring Gal Gadot, blazes into theaters on June 2, 2017. Take a look at the trailer below!

When I first wrote about DC Super Hero Girls just over a year ago, I knew that the initiative would be something special - a long-overdue chance to fill some gaps in entertainment and play. As parents of two young girls, my wife and I have seen the little ones embrace iconic superheroes like Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Batgirl (along with their male counterparts) without really having anything substantial to back it up, quite unlike the multitude of other pop culture interests out there. These characters were underutilized to reach new generations, their stories and adventures scattered through un-unified worlds and mediums. DC Super Hero Girls changed all that, bringing together the female heroes and villains of the DC Universe into a new realm - placing them as High School-aged students learning their paths in life, but in a way relatable to younger kids. With an online animated series, books, toys and more, it's all been given purpose - a mission that DC's Diane Nelson described as "stories of empowerment, inspiration and optimism." First rolled-out exclusively to Target stores this Spring, DC Super Hero Girls toys and products will go out en masse starting in June, with the full collection of poseable action dolls and figures starting to hit the toy aisles of retailers everywhere. The folks at Mattel recently sent us the first wave of six action dolls to check out, and we're presenting them now in this edition of UNBOXED + PLAY!

Immediately upon being announced last Spring, DC Super Hero Girls was something that struck a nerve here at Rock Father HQ. Geared toward kids ages 6-12, DC Super Hero Girls centers on the female Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC Comics universe - presented in a High School setting, with Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee, Poison Ivy, Katana and many more learning their powers, while being united by friendship. While there's a ton to explore when it comes to DC Super Hero Girls, one of the most popular elements is the bi-weekly series of animated shorts, and today THE ROCK FATHER Magazine is teaming-up with DC Entertainment to give you a sneak-preview of the latest episode - which actually arrives in full at 11am PT. Following last month's inaugural "Hero of the Month" (Poison Ivy), it's time to crown another, and this time it's Bumblebee! Here's a preview...

On March 25th, my two favorite superheroes of all-time will face-off before they can team-up, with Zack Snyder's BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE hitting the big screen. Tonight, Warner Bros. is calling upon audiences to predict #WhoWillWin?, with a pair of new TV spots and an all-new poster that posits the "Man of Steel" versus "Bat of Gotham." Check them out below, and then weigh in - who do you think will win when these two titans take on each other?

The DC Extended Universe is growing by a massive amount in 2016, and what follows the March release of Zack Snyder's BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is the August release of David Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD. The villain team-up might come as a surprise to casual fans familiar with The Joker, but not the rest of the 'Squad, but tonight's official trailer debut should do wonders in introducing the concept to the world at large. Quite simply, it rocks, and the fact that QUEEN's "Bohemian Rhapsody" serves as the soundtrack doesn't hurt. Probably the finest use since Wayne and Garth...
