Kid Rock keeps riding that line between Detroit rock and Nashville twang, and on his latest single he's leaning back to that country side. “Tennessee Mountain Top” hits country radio beginning October 2, but the song arrived on digital platforms for sale and streaming today. Check it out in the player below and see what you think - personally, I'm digging it.

2017 CAS LogoThe best quote I've seen from an auto exec this year? "A 12-second quarter mile, toy-hauling, three-row muscle car." Tim Kuniskis of Dodge on the 2018 Durango SRT

The 2017 Chicago Auto Show is about to kick into high-gear, and the Dodge and SRT brands are rocking the high-performance automotive world once again, bringing a huge burst of American power, acceleration and best-in-class tow capability to the three-row SUV segment with the new 2018 Dodge Durango SRT  (the fastest SUV in its class). It was two years ago this week that I first posted about the Kia GT4 Stinger concept, a bold sports car that made its debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. Now, Kia Motors America has delivered on the promise to deliver such a vehicle, rolling into the North American International Auto Show for the world debut of the all-new 2018 Kia Stinger. The legacy of this new vehicle dates back to the debut of Kia's first GT concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, and is now realized with a vehicle that will go on-sale later in 2017 (price TBA)...

My inbox has been blowing up with news out of Kia Motors America today - one of my favorite automakers, and one that's turning out some interesting things. While they're at CES in Las Vegas right now with the stunning Kia NOVO concept that debuted in Seoul last year, they're also touting autonomous rides (more on that shortly) and looking ahead to the next stop - Detroit. At the 2016 North American Auto Show, Kia will reveal a new concept car that was conceived at the automaker’s California design studio, one that they promise to offer "an abundance of advanced technology – including state-of-the-art health and wellness technology," while "suggesting styling of a possible future premium large SUV in the brand’s lineup." I'm intrigued, are you?

I just had a major flashback to 2004. It was a decade ago(!), that I and a group of close friends, then-known as a ragtag band of independent troublemakers filmmakers that used the streets of Waukegan, Illinois as our personal backlot, paid a visit to the set of Christopher Nolan's BATMAN BEGINS. It was then that they'd come to film part of the epic "Chase to the Batcave" scene on the never-completed Amstutz Expressway - the famed "road to nowhere" used as a filming location for THE BLUES BROTHERS, GROUNDHOG DAY, and countless other film and television projects. Armed with a MiniDV camera, we provided (via IGN) the Internet one of it's first-looks at The Tumblr, the functional, real-world Batmobile (though never officially called that) that would feature so heavily in Nolan's DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY. But that was 2004, and here we are again for 2014...
