On May 5, 2017, MARVEL's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 blasts into theaters, and tonight there's a new look at what Star-Lord and the crew have been up to. The new TV spot appeared during the "Big Game," not to be confused with the "Super Bowl," and most certainly not a presentation of the NFL on Fox (...or was it?). If you're like me and only care about the national sporting event for the commercials, this one is for you!

When the teaser trailer for MARVEL's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 arrived back in December, I was one of the people quick to deem the new "Baby Groot" as "Toddler Groot." I also said that "toddler Groot is gonna be the toy that kids want," and behold, Hasbro is answering the call. With Toy Fair in New York happening shortly, new toys are starting to emerge, and the folks at Hasbro just sent over the full details on their MARVEL GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 2 DANCING GROOT Figure!

This past fall, Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange took audiences into a whole new realm of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), presenting the story of Dr. Stephen Strange, Master of the Mystic Arts. The biggest single-character introduction in the MCU, it also carried on Marvel Studios’ winning streak as the 14th consecutive MCU film to debut at #1 at the domestic box office, and now the Doctor is coming home...

It's a complicated arrangement that made it possible for Spider-man to finally enter the MARVEL Cinematic Universe with an appearance in this year's Captain America: Civil War - one that paved the way for next year's Spider-Man: Homecoming. The interesting thing is that this next "solo" outing (which we've learned is partially a team-up with Iron Man) is a SONY picture created in partnership with MARVEL Studios (Disney) - and with actor Tom Holland in the suit, we're into the third big-screen Spider-Man of this century. I often wonder if casual moviegoers understand all the "hows" and "whys" of all of this superhero-switching, but as the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming has shown us tonight, this may be the most comic-accurate version we've ever seen, and one that looks to really bring Spidey into the universe that he so rightfully should be a part of. Check this out...

Earlier this evening, I had four little girls (The Rock Daughters™ + 2 friends) huddled around a computer in my office to see the new teaser trailer for MARVEL Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. There's so much to love in this, I'll let the video mostly speak for itself, but I do have to mention that although they're still calling him "Baby Groot," Toddler Groot is going to be the toy that kids want next year.  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is once again directed by James Gunn, and will hit theater screens on May 5, 2017. From The Walt Disney Company and its affiliated studios alone, next year is gonna be huge...

"A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios' CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING" - That's the early synopsis given for the first SPIDER-MAN film to officially be a part of the MARVEL Cinematic Universe in a collaboration between MARVEL Studios and SONY.  Tonight at San Diego Comic-Con, the film's villain was revealed to be The Vulture, with concept art posted by the team at MARVEL.com. Additionally, some additional credits confirm that Tony Stark (if not Iron Man) will be making an appearance when the film swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
