Here we are with another installment of The Random Rock N' More, the column where the Music for Grownups section takes a place on the homepage. Be warned, many of these artists cannot be considered 'family-friendly,' but this is their time. As part of a balanced musical diet, there's a little of everything here from mainstream rock to pop to pop punk to black metal, hip-hop, indie rock, and more. This is all stuff that has landed in The Rock Father's inbox over the past few days, and I want to cover as much of it as possible. Like what you see? Links are provided to learn more. Let's go...

Impressive is just one word to describe the sonic display of talent that you're about to witness in the videos below. The drumming prowess of YouTube user bugyean was brought to my attention this afternoon by Dirge Within guitarist Shaun Glass, who forwarded me a video of bugyean aka Noppakun Trirojporn of Sisaket, Thailand absolutely throwing down with a drum cover of AVENGED SEVENFOLD's Beast and the Harlot - playing with his daughter Zoe on his arm, while playing the entire song one-armed - DEF LEPPARD style. But that's not all... this guy does a SLIPKNOT medley, takes on DREAM THEATER, LAMB OF GOD, and a whole lot more in his IKEA furnished studio area. Check this out...
I distinctly remember the morning of August 28, 2001. I was in a weird space at the time - technically unemployed, yet I still found myself at Best Buy when the doors opened to score a copy of IOWA, the second album from SLIPKNOT. The Heretic Anthem was already on my computer as a pre-release MP3 at a time when digital singles were still a frightening prospect for the music industry, and having already been hooked by the band's self-titled debut just a couple years prior, I had to get my hands on the new record. A decade later, IOWA still holds up, and remains my favorite release in the SLIPKNOT library of audio domination.
