The Maine - "House of Blue Déjà Vu"

I know I tend to always overthink

But tonight it’s as simple as this

All I need is a lovely little lonely kiss

I have a friend who’s always playing bands I’ve never heard of, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The 1975, Acceptance, Jimmy Eat World, Saves The Day, Bad Suns, and State Champs, to name a few. Ok, so I've heard of The 1975 and Jimmy Eat World but never listened to any of their music until she mentioned how much she loved them. I respect her opinion and want to understand the world through her lens.

Phoenix, Arizona’s THE MAINE have declared June 4, 2013 as the release date for their fourth studio album, FOREVER HALLOWEEN. The new record will be released independently in the US in partnership with their management team Eighty One Twenty Three, and released via Rude Records in Europe, UK, Southeast Asia, Australia and Japan. Brendan Benson of THE RACONTEURS handled production of the self-funded release.

I have a real soft spot for FEARLESS RECORDS' long-running "Punk Goes" series. In fact, I think I've reviewed almost every installment, and I'd written a "10 Years of Punk Goes..." retrospective that ran on a long-lost website a couple of years ago. Well, I may have to dust those off and repost them here, because FEARLESS has announced a November 6, 2012 release date (Election Day!) for PUNK GOES POP 5 - a new collection of pop hits covered by a crop of not-so-punk-but-still-cool bands.
