I don't often do the HIGH FIDELITY-style "Top Five" lists, but I do know who my Top Five Musical Artists of All-Time are. These bands are ones that are always in the daily rotation, and today comes a big surprise - that two of my top five are going on a co-headline tour this spring. HELMET & PRONG. Both bands came up in NYC, bursting from the CBGB scene, and when I saw each of them live for the first time, it was in a location far from... Davenport, Iowa in the early 90s. Since then, I've seen each many times, in several cities, with both bands going through numerous lineup changes. Check out the official announcement below!
Kevin Hart is a busy man, and some might even say that he's "irresponsible." In fact, he'd be one of those people, and today he's announced the expansion of his "widely successful and massively hysterical" 'The Kevin Hart Irresponsible Tour,' adding over 100 new dates across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia. Produced by Live Nation, the new dates will kick off March 23 in Baltimore, MD and hit all new cities including New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, London, Sydney, Auckland, Singapore, and more. Check out Kevin's announcement video and the new tour dates below...
Legendary Bay Area metallers, SKINLAB, today announce the return of longtime guitarist Steve Green, best-known to fans as Snake! The news comes ahead of the band’s first live activities of 2018, the Brothers in Blood Tour featuring PISSING RAZORS and SHATTERED SUN (updated itinerary below).
The numbers are beyond impressive... Five decades. 18,262 days. More than 2,500 shows. That's been OZZY OSBOURNE's life on the road, and today he's announced his "farewell" tour, on which the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy® winning singer and songwriter will celebrate more than five decades as a performer (both as a solo artist and as lead singer of Black Sabbath which formed in 1968). This tour, expected to take OZZY around the world with dates into 2020, will mark the end of global touring for the legendary artist, though he will continue to perform select live shows.
This Friday night, FM Entertainment & Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey present MOTOGRATER, PRODUCT OF HATE and IMPERIAL FALL on the House of Harley-Davidson Stage at Route 20 in Sturtevant, Wisconsin (get tix). For PRODUCT OF HATE, it's hometown show, and it marks the end of the album cycle and touring for their full-length debut, BURIED IN VIOLENCE. While Napalm Records released that album on February 5, 2016, the band actually started touring it almost a year earlier, hitting the road with Allegaeon (Metal Blade Records) and The Agonist (Napalm) in 2015. Later tours with the likes of Mushroomhead (Megaforce), Hammer Fight (Napalm), Sumo Cyco and Madame Mayhem would follow, with the band most recently spending nearly 40 dates on the road with the reunited Skinlab and IKILLYA (Urban Yeti Records). Now, as the two year anniversary of Buried in Violence approaches, PRODUCT OF HATE will close the book on Buried and set sights on Album #2.
Tribute tours have become big business in recent years, with artists ranging from Michael Jackson to Ronnie James Dio being celebrated in new productions. Celebrating David Bowie is one of the newer ones, and after a series of shows this year, they've announced a Celebrating David Bowie Tour for 2018, with dates announced for Europe and North America. "What might a David Bowie 2018 tour setlist consist of?" That's one of the questions about to be answered as Celebrating David Bowie keeps David's music alive with musicians who worked closely with him throughout his career and other top musicians greatly influenced by him.
