The numbers are beyond impressive... Five decades.  18,262 days.  More than 2,500 shows. That's been OZZY OSBOURNE's life on the road, and today he's announced his "farewell" tour, on which the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy® winning singer and songwriter will celebrate more than five decades as a performer (both as a solo artist and as lead singer of Black Sabbath which formed in 1968).  This tour, expected to take OZZY around the world with dates into 2020, will mark the end of global touring for the legendary artist, though he will continue to perform select live shows.

Two things I love: guitars and pizza. Apparently, Zakk Wylde also feels the same way, because if this new video is to be believed, his new line of guitars from Wylde Audio are, in fact, forged from the fires of his mighty Pizza Oven O'Doom. If you've ever wondered where guitars come from - specifically, where Zakk's Wylde Audio guitars come from, check out this helpful video that details the magical building process, and the power of Tree

Let me tell you this - it can be very hard to play real music on a toy guitar. It can be done, and when it's done well, the results can be fantastic. Formerly a guitar-slinger for OZZY OSBOURNE, the mighty ZAKK WYLDE has a great knowledge of the BLACK SABBATH catalog, so it's no wonder that he chose to whip out some Sabbath classics when Loudwire called upon him to rock the HELLO KITTY guitar in a sequel to last year's Mike Portnoy Hello Kitty Drums video. Check out the BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist doing "N.I.B." unplugged...

Over on YouTube there's a channel where you can find an 11 year-old boy named KOBZEV MAKSIM (aka Maksim Kobzev) shredding away on dozens of songs from OZZY OSBOURNE, TWISTED SISTER, DIO, HELLOWEEN, BILLY TALENT, and EXODUS. What appears to be his favorite is the music of ZAKK WYLDE, specifically anything by BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. Now, these play-alongs aren't perfect, but they're quite good. BLS caught on this morning and sent a little Facebook love his way, so I'm helping to take that a step further. Check out Bleed For Me and Stillborn below, then hit this link for more.

I've been meaning to post this for about a week now, but it just kept getting pushed back until today. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist ZAKK WYLDE is indeed a Rock Father himself - just check out this home video of him singing I Thank You Child with his daughter. While that's certainly some compelling evidence, this recent trailer for his forthcoming book BRINGING METAL TO THE CHILDREN: The Complete Berzerker's Guide to World Tour Domination (out April 10 via HarperCollins) is just pure entertainment. I wish that my daughter's reading groups at the local library looked more like this. Take a look.
