The surprise reveal of Disney TOYBOX Action Figures in the fall of 2017 quickly became one of the most popular articles of that timeframe. Based on artwork and assets from the now-shuttered Disney INFINITY video game, the Disney TOYBOX line brings to life characters from across the Disney family, including those from Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. The new figures feature animated styling, 14 points of articulation, and a signature accessory. With the first wave very well-received, many have wondered what's next for the line, and now we have some answers! Presented here on The Rock Father™ Magazine is The Ultimate Disney TOYBOX Checklist - an up-to-date list of the latest confirmed figures for this exciting new line. We'll be updating this indefinitely as new figures join the fold. Disney TOYBOX action figures are available exclusively through ShopDisney.com (an affiliate of this site) and Disney Store locations.

Auto Show season is upon us, with the big ones about to start rolling out here in North America this month, with #NAIAS in Detroit, followed by the Chicago International Auto Show in February. Up North, the Canadian International AutoShow rolls into the downtown Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Feb. 16-25, and this year Mattel is bringing Hot Wheels into the action! The number one selling toy in the world races into Canada with an explosion of activities to commemorate its 50th anniversary. This includes appearances by some of the iconic full-sized rides from the Hot Wheels garage, including the famed Star Wars Darth Vader character car and the Special Edition 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS!

Every time I think that the micro-collectibles bubble is about to burst, something comes along that reinforces the fact that there's no sign of that happening. In fact, the market is evolving and kids can't get enough of these small little toys. Evolution brings us to the launch of Cake Pop Cuties, a new line from Basic Fun that checks the boxes on several current trends, combining the brightly-colored blind box appeal of toys like L.O.L. Surprise with the strange appeal of the slow-rise squishes movement into a tiny little package that's appropriately shaped like... a cake pop. Available soon at most major retailers (Amazon is taking pre-orders), Cake Pop Cuties is backed by a CGI-animated webseries and boasts over 36 different Cuties and Sweeties to collect in the first wave. After being teased on social media last summer ahead of a launch in Atlanta, Dream Pets will return in 2018 as a reimagined collection of plush toys inspired by their vintage counterparts. Originally created by R. Dakin & Company in the mid 1950’s, Dream Pets were initially sawdust (!) filled plush that were used as packing materials designed to protect a shipment of toy trains. After becoming unexpectedly popular, the line expanded into proper plush with thousands of characters available. By the mid-2000s, Dream Pets had been swept up in the usual pattern of toy company mergers and acquisitions, eventually falling dormant... until now.
