With most of October now behind us, more folks are seeking frights in the final days leading up to Halloween. The crew over at YouTube has seen an uptick in searches for terrifying content, and tonight they sent over a list of the Top 10 horror films that people have been searching for and watching on YouTube. Some, like 2013's The Conjouring, are surprising, while the return of the SAW franchise to theaters with Jigsaw is no doubt fueling interest in the earlier installments. Also, 1988's Child's Play makes the list, right alongside Cult of Chucky, which hit Netflix, Blu-ray and AMC this month. And did you think that Pennywise would be left out? Check out the full list below!

As a child of the 1980s, one of the most terrifying, yet compelling movies that I ever laid my eyes upon was POLTERGEIST. In fact, I'm not even sure why I was allowed to watch it, but I did - repeatedly, over and over and over again. Recently reimagined to scare a new generation, Director Gil Kenan (MONSTER HOUSE) brought POLTERGEIST back, and it's now available as an Extended Cut from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment - available now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD. The film lands here in my annual 31 Days of Halloween as a #ForGrownups Giveaway, where one lucky reader of THE ROCK FATHER Magazine will bring the POLTERGEIST into their home on Blu-ray Combo Pack!

This September, Rob Zombie's Great American Nightmare will return to the Chicago area for another season of frights at The Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, Illinois. I'd been wondering about this one, as I covered last years' event - having checked-out the haunt and Zombie's surreal, one-night-only performance in the confines of a very unconventional locale.  For the 2015, the frights will be even bigger, and Rob Zombie will be rocking the stage once more - with two special concerts set to take place on October 2 & 4. The Villa Park/Chicagoland show is the ONLY edition of the Great American Nightmare this year. Here's the details on what to expect...

Holiday Wish GuideIt's completely appropriate to end the 2014 edition of 31 Days of Halloween here on THE ROCK FATHER in the manner that I'm doing right now... in a way that I've never done before. The final entry for Halloween helps me to seamlessly transition into the Holiday season, as it's also included in my 2014 Holiday Wish Guide. Sure, MONSTER HIGH is a year-round passion for children and grownup collectors alike, but for Halloween it's just a perfect toy... and one that will be highly requested in the Holiday build-up weeks ahead. Licensed by Mattel, MONSTER HIGH Gore-geous Ghoul: The Anti-Styling Head by Just Play Toys is a spooky spin on an old favorite.

For Halloween Week, it's only appropriate to take a deeper look at the infamous DEATH WALKS THE STREETS #1: A NEW MARSHALL FALL. The "Halloween issue" was ripe in seasonal goodness, a heavily-detailed affair featuring the artwork of Guilherme Balbi (DC's SUPERBOY, Dark Horse's PREDATOR), along with the gorgeous interior color work of Milen Parvanov (DC's RESIDENT EVIL, Lion Forge's KNIGHT RIDER). With The Organization running things in New Marshall, it's to be expected that certain things will "fall off the truck" on occasion... or the whole truck will just wind up in the wrong hands. What bounty would Michael find himself tasked with unloading in the first moments of DWTS #1? Halloween candy... specifically, "Choco-Bats."
