How perfect is this? AC/DC is providing the soundtrack to the latest trailer for PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE, the sequel to last year's hit, PLANES. The new film from DisneyToon Studios will hit theaters on July 18, 2014, and finds Dusty Crophopper (Dane Cook) joining the Aerial Fire Fighters at Piston Peak Air Attack Base as a Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT) for a completely new adventure outside the racing circuit. Check out the new trailer (complete with "Thunderstruck") below, along with new character poses from some new rides that will undoubtedly wind up here at Rock Father HQ in toy form later this year...

"From above the world of CARS," Disney's PLANES flew into our home last Fall, creating an endless stream of adventures for the girls and I, both with the film itself (reviewed here), and the toys (which I featured here). Months later, and we're still into it - and just last month, I purchased the Aircraft Carrier Playset. Well, on July 18, the big-screen adventures will continue with the release of PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE, an all-new theatrical film that will debut in 3D. This afternoon, Yahoo! premiered a new trailer called "Courage," and I've got it for you below. Take a peek...

On March 21, Disney's MUPPETS MOST WANTED will arrive in theaters, presenting the Muppets in an all-new big-screen adventure. Now, I have sort of a long-running fixation history with the Muppets, dating back to my early years in the late 1970s. In fact, my wife just mentioned that again tonight... saying something to the effect of "The Muppets are the cornerstone of your entire being." Perhaps. But before we get to the brand-new "Game Day" Extended TV Spot, let's just say that Kermit the Frog and I have a bond that's lasted over 37 years...

It's been a big day for fans of the MARVEL Cinematic Universe, specifically those looking forward to CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER (that includes me). While the 30-second "Big Game" (Super Bowl) spot aired just a short time ago, the second full-length trailer has also hit the 'net, and the folks at Walt Disney Studios just hit The Rock Father with links to both. Below the jump you can get a fantastic new look at this latest super-charged adventure, which hits theaters on April 4.

I fear that my daughters will not only miss out on growing up with some truly iconic films, but also the magic delivered by the marketing that my generation grew up with. Pre-internet overkill, there was a curiosity built by a well-crafted movie poster - a hand-drawn first gateway into a world yet to be experienced. Recently retired, artist DREW STRUZAN was one of - if not the most iconic artist in the game, bringing to life the images of BACK TO THE FUTURE, STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES, HARRY POTTER, and celebrating it's 30th Anniversary this year, E.T. Now a feature-length documentary on Struzan is on the way, and tonight I'm sharing the first trailer for DREW: THE MAN BEHIND THE POSTER. Check it out.

Having been on a huge retro kick lately (which my wife called ''creepy''), this new trailer for the film WRECK-IT RALPH really hits the spot. My wife and munchkin both enjoyed it as well, and we're all looking forward to November when the Walt Disney Co. releases this to theaters. The plot? A video game character very similar to DONKEY KONG (or those monsters in RAMPAGE!) gets tired of being the bad guy after 30 years of thankless work. What does he do? Well, he sets off on an adventure beyond his game. See how many old friends from your childhood pop up in the trailer below...
