The Rock Father is a member of the Netflix Stream TeamThrowback Thursday: That weekly celebration of those old photos, life experiences and more often than not, a look back at our youth. As a member of the Netflix Stream Team, one thing that I've noticed is that all of those things can come into play, which is why I'm doing a #TBT Edition Netflix post this week, and while I highlight a few throwbacks worth watching, I'll also give you a shot to score three months of streaming for FREE... and let you know how you can find ME on Netflix. What? You thought that THE ROCK FATHER was only existing in your computer? Nope, I'm on Netflix, too!

THE ROCK FATHER's Throwback Thursday Netflix Selections...

KNIGHT RIDER AdKNIGHT RIDER (1982-1986)

The Greatest Television Program of All-Time, and The Best Show that the World will Ever Know, KNIGHT RIDER has been mentioned more than a few times here on the site (including this post, the series has been mentioned in at least 27 articles since 2011). David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, along with William Daniels as the Voice of K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand), a supercar based on the 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. There has never been, nor will there ever be, a television program that is better than this. Speaking from experience, kids in 2014 love it just as much as their Daddy did back in the 80s. There's a big-screen movie in the works that is rumored to have the involvement of Chris Pratt and Danny McBride.

JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMSJEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS (1985-1988)

Based on the Hasbro Fashion Dolls, and set to become a live-action, big-screen movie for next year (the first photo of JEM and her band was revealed today) from G.I. JOE: RETALIATION Director John M. Chu, with Justin Bieber manager Scooter Braun on the production side, girls and boys alike enjoyed the action-packed adventures of record executive Jerrica Benton, who turned herself into a rock icon called JEM using the holographic power of a computer called SYNERGY.

TRANSFORMERSTRANSFORMERS (1984-1987)

It's the 30th Anniversary of the TRANSFORMERS franchise this year (Hasbro is calling it the "Thrilling 30"), and while the upcoming big-screen adventure, TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is a little "grownup" skewing for my own kids (for now), you can't beat the original "Generation One" adventures of OPTIMUS PRIME, MEGATRON, STARSCREAM and the rest of the Autobots and Decepticons.

Sesame StreetSESAME STREET CLASSICS

From the "Old School" days of the PBS KIDS series, these are sharable little bits featuring some BIG names like JOHNNY CASH and BILL COSBY, along with some other classic moments that original aired between the mid-1970s to mid-1980s.

For Grownups Only...

Prison breakPRISON BREAK (2005-2008)

This one is a "Wild Card" of sorts, a throwback that's not super-old, but had a great first season. Not for the kids, but remember when I said that you could find ME on Netflix? Well, this is it. In fact, you can sorta play a "Where's Waldo" kind game of "Where's THE ROCK FATHER" during the first Season of PRISON BREAK. I worked on six episodes of it, and I'll give you one hint right off the bat. Watch Season One, Episode 2 "Allen" and right when the dramatic music cue hits at the 2:05 mark, that's me in the grey jogging suit (screenshot from Netflix pictured left!). Want to hear my full PRISON BREAK story? I wrote about it as a #TBT last October.
