riotruckOn July 15th, my friends at Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release RIO 2 on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD (it's out now on iTunes). The film is sort of a "road trip" story in which Blu (voiced by Jesse Eisenberg) and his family take flight after his wife Jewel (voice of Anne Hathaway) decides that their children should explore the world. In the spirit of the film, there's a RIO 2 Summer Party Tour hitting select cities over the next two weeks (dates here), and the 2014 #RockFatherTour is hitting the road once more, too! But this time, we're actually on the road (as opposed to the air). While we get started on that end, Fox and I are giving all of you a chance to WIN the RIO 2 Blu-ray Combo Pack, and since THE ROCK FATHER has a foundation built on music... we're going to take a quick look at some of the "Musical Messages" of RIO 2...

“What's a song if you can't hear it too? Can't imagine dancing without you.” (What Is Love?)

13“You've got to stand tall, even when you're small. You've got to sing loud, when they tell you not to talk. You need to believe that you were born to be free. You've got to let go of all your fear, cuz' it's a Jungle Out Here” (It’s A Jungle Out Here)

“If you try to keep me down I'll just come back stronger If you try to cut me short I'll just come back longer If you beat me at ping pong I'll just play ping pong-er Give me my throne, I am ready to thrive one thing I know....I will survive!" (I Will Survive)

"Let's celebrate, for we are beautiful creatures. Come spread your wings, dance and sing songs about freedom.” (Beautiful Creatures)

"Vou levar alegria. Junto carrego o amor. Dia de festa. Salve a floresta!” (Fave de Mel)

Which translates to: “I come bringing joy. Along, I come carrying love. Party day. Save the forest.”
